Got this because the last 3rd party, less expensive PS4 controller I got was kinda trash. There are still a few issues with this one too, the worst of which is probably the quality of the D-pad, which seems to be some kind of theme with these controllers. It works for the most part, but at times it doesn't register gentle pushes very well, so for some games it won't be ideal. The second worst thing to me is the rumble function on occasion if engaged for perhaps longer than a second, becomes just stuck and will vibrate endlessly. It's an easy enough fix to shut the controller off and then back on again, but still odd. Other than those things, it's pretty decent. It feels durable, the light is thankfully a lot less dull than the other blinding controllers even on the lowest setting, and while the battery life is nothing remarkable, it's no worse than the Sony version I still have. Hopefully the lifespan is decent overall, and if so, I can see this being a go-to for replacements from time to time. 03/29/23 Update: Well, the controller is taking a dive. Six months in and now it's suddenly just issuing directional commands while not even touching the thing. Usually resetting the controller will fix things, but sometimes it won't. So, six months and then trash it looks like. Might buy another one just to see if that's a trend with this brand. ... show more

This was EXACTLY what we were looking for to keep our 3 new gamers busy! Papi surprised them with a new Playstation 4 a couple weeks ago and we were in need of an extra controller. We were hesitant to buy a brand that wasn't Sony but since they were very hard to find we took a chance and purchased this one. Not only do I love the bright color but my 11 year old twins and my 6 year old all can play with it comfortably. Even my 6 foot 6 husband enjoys using it and says it's very comfortable to use! After unboxing the controller, charging it, and then connecting to the PS4 via USB, the controller stayed connected for a whole 5 minutes before displaying solid red lights and refusing to work (mid-game of course). After being reset, it worked great for about another 10 minutes and then did the same thing. I want to love this controller, I really do, but the analog sticks seem really stiff in games like COD. Like, there's no constistency in the sensitivity settings, even after adjusting those and deadzone parameters. I've tried the controller both wired and wirelessly, and it just seems to catch when moving side to side. Like if I'm in ADS with a scope, I will move to the left or right, but during that, it will hitch or stutter, then overshoot where I'm trying to aim. Additionally, the thumbstick pads are a tad too small. They should be a little bit bigger. I'm giving it three stars for those reasons. I will keep the controller as an extra and keep an eye on future upgraded models that hopefully have smoother analog input. ... show more

This is by far one of the best gaming controllers I have purchased.the only issue I have is the sensitivity. I mainly play COD and I found a fix to it. Just go to options and scroll down until you see ads sensitivity. I turn it down to a .78 and that did the trick. Some other games might not work well if you can’t adjust the sensitivity.
