The rug is so beautiful and soft! It did have a chemical-like smell. (I think it’s a protective treatment that keeps the rug free of other things that may happen in transit). I just sprinkled baking soda on it and let it soak in, vacuumed it up after about an hour, and voila: Odor GONE! It is lovely and so soft on my feet. Now I lay on it to do my homework.
