This is a great ladder. I got the 12.5 foot. It is high enough to reach the top of my 1 story roof. That is why I bought it so that I could clean the gutters. It is a little bendy but not so much that I was nervous. It is compact and gets the job done. I had it a good angle when I went on the roof and still had 2 steps to spare.     • Should be a recall for this POS
I thought this would be great since i live in a townhouse with little storage and need to get on my 18' roof occasionally. I Weigh 185 6'1, I would consider myself average size for a guy. When you attempt to climb up when its fully extended, the ladder actually starts to BEND so the mid-to-top portion of the ladder ends up flush to the side to the building witch is a definite hazard. Not only that, if you tried using it for extended amount of time when the ladder is on an angle (like it should be) the tiny little square rungs are slanted, so you are actually standing on the pointy part of the little square rung and this can turn out to be very uncomfortable and eventually panful even when wearing thick work shoes. Also if you dont stay centered on it, both sides will begin to PIVOT and I've used ladders to get on my roof and for work for over 20 years, never have seen anything liker this and it should be recalled before someone gets killed. The seller turned out to be "third party" (watch out of these!! lesson learned) and tried to not pay for return shipping for this useless 50 lb piece of garbage. but if this happens to you, complain to amazon and they will make it right as usual. This ladder company even offered me 35 dollars to keep this death trap before they gave in and sent me the return label. ... show more

I have several areas of my home which need a 12 ft ladder to reach, one being an indoor smoke alarm. This ladder was so easy to extend and reach to change batteries. It's lightweight to carry and can fit in a very small space for storage or transportation.

Nice and compact if you don't have a lot of storage. A 14 foot ladder would be hard to store if you couldn't telescope it. Light weight is good but you really need to take that into concideration when you are setting yourself up. I give it a little bit more of an angle than I would with a heavier ladder. ... show more
