This ladder does the job just fine. It does bend slightly under my weight when fully extended, and I’m not overweight, but I am a little taller than the average lady. That is just something to consider. It is a bit tricky and time-consuming to get the ladder to collapse properly, but I get it eventually each time. I used to have a couple of those ladders that fold open and then the legs have to be pulled out and set. I liked them - but they are a pain - and the older I get they heavier they seemed to get. We had a home inspector look at our home and she used one and said she loved it. So, we got one. It is SO mobile - easy to carry under one arm. And it's not heavy. I am 76 and have rheumatoid arthritis - and am a bit challenged these days. This ladder makes the job so much easier! It is super simple to extend and retract. When extended to it's full height it is a bit wobbly - but not terribly so - and I don't feel it's a safety concern. I wish I would have bought this ladder years ago. ... show more

The 1st rung is 4 inches off the ground, then the next one is 17 inches and then the rest are all 16 1/4 inches. Code is 14 inches max and 10 inches minimum. Hoping that I just got a bad one but time will tell.

We live where we cannot have a big honkin’ ladder. No where to store it so this is amazing. We have used it twice already to get on top of our old downtown building (13’) Sure it curves a bit when you climb but it has “give” and is sturdy and safe. Didn't scare us at all. I'm getting older and lugging a regular extension ladder around to clean the gutters on my house is burdensome. When this arrived it felt heavy folded up. But when I tried it out I was pleasantly surprised. It extends out amazingly easy, and fully extended, didn't feel heavy at all. It was super easy to move along my gutters to clean them. The other thing I noticed was it kind of leveled itself on uneven ground by twisting slightly at the bottom where on my other one I had to put a spacer under one leg. And folding this up is a snap. Just watch your fingers as it drops quickly! I weigh 250 lbs., and it flexes some, but after getting used to it it's no big deal. ... show more
