I wanted a collapsible ladder that I could rook onto my new Gobi roof rack for my Jeep. Something a bit sturdy, and more importantly that could hook onto the roof rack itself. Saw this and got it, and am pretty pleased. It collapses to about 3ft; it's not small, but it sure is sturdy. Had this propped into the dirt on Mt Pinos during the recent meteor shower so I could climb on top of my vehicle. Having the hooks on top made it super secure. Another thing I liked is when collapsing the rungs, the it doesn't close "all the way" at first. It keeps about a 2-inch clearance until you collapse the next rung. Basically this allows you to hit the release latches and let the top section slide down unassisted, without worrying about it slamming onto your fingers. Makes tear-down/collapsing it super-easy! Fully collapsed it's still a decent heft, and not the smallest thing in the world. But it does collapse, and lightweight for most to carry by themselves. You're not going to get something sturdy and easy-to-climb without some size, and I say the trade-off is well worth it! (Apologies for the dim photo! But you can see how the ladder is propped onto the side of my vehicle, and its top hooks are secured over my roof rack) ... show more

Space is always an issue when you have an RV or motorhome like me. To the top of my unit is very high and when changing out my rear facing camera with a more modern camera systerm, this was just the right height and seemed to be very sturdy. It is very light weight and take hardly any space in storage. I found a similar one at the big box stores for 2-3 times the price I paid for it. Likes- Solid RV ladders for both interior and exterior (8ft purchase) for 10 ft tall trailer. Non slip. Hooks a must if using for bunks. Hooks come off or turn for a flat wall. 8ft works as a 4ft inside and doubles for outside. Like locking velcro strap. Travels upright, attached to bunk over very bumpy roads and stays put. Love it for kids and husband is 210lb, felt he could stand on it. Seemed sturdy. Wouldn’t tell him to go higher then 5-6ft. Dislikes- Can pinch fingers if you do not read directions or see “pictures”. Lay it sideways before putting down or you WILL PINCH OR SLAM fingers. Adults should raise and lower. As an adult, I also almost slapped them between rungs even knowing it would happen. The release buttons are quick. You can’t react. And the slam is fast. ALWAYS LOWER WHILE SIDEWAYS WITH TWO PEOPLE. Practice slowly. Secure with strap. But I really like it, It is not a toy. Super sturdy. Would buy again. ... show more

Stays really sturdy even on carpet. I use it both as a bunk bed ladder and to get up into my attic. The handles can wobble even after being tightened, and it has some obvious "give" to it when weight it put on if it's placed at an angle over 10 degrees. Best it have it as much upright as possible when climbing high distances. I wouldn't feel comfortable carrying anything over 50 pounds up this thing with me. Not to say it can't because I haven't tried, but I question it's durability as I climb it by myself and I'm only 150 pounds. For the value though it's amazing, and it's really easy to use and carry around. Handles are adjustable to turn inward or outward also. ... show more

This ladder is well made with a clever design so you can fold it up to a nice smaller size for very easy storage (under a bed, behind a door, in a cabinet or closet). And it's also good looking. I have this ladder in my small cabin to reach the loft above. We also used it while installing wood wall panels as we built the cabin. It was sturdy, it feels solid & safe, and I like the easy folding mechanism. I looked for a ladder for weeks that would be suitable for this space, but nothing was a good fit. I'm so glad I got this one! I'll be buying 3 more - one for my garage, one for my storage barn, and one for my horse barn to reach the upper shelves.😄 ... show more

This is a quick and easy setup as a replacment step for bunker bed I can find to use in college dorm, instead of waiting with no guarantee to have one, we're happy this worked out well. It's light and portable, can be easly used for different purposes. Only thing we can think of is to hope if there is a way to make it a little more comfortable to walk on with bare feet, but I understand this may not be designed for that. ... show more

The hooks made access to the attic much safer. Light weight ladder, easy to extend, and strong. This ladder made getting into and out of the attic much more convenient and safer. Didn't cost a fortune either.
