These were perfect and much cheaper than the options the pool builder showed us. There are 3 settings on the alarm: off, chime, and alarm. When I tell you this alarm is loud, I mean LOUD. I couldn't imagine living with these on every day, but if you've got littles- do it. We installed three of these and with a week three of the six adhesive parts fell off. Scared the crap out of me considering our entire family was I. Bed when one of them fell. The surfaces were clean amd applied according to directions. I am sad I threw away the packaging because now I need to order something new and can't return these. *update- company refunded partial payment so I could purchase new adhesives. Very loud! And there’s no way to adjust the volume. One sound is a constant alarm, like what you would want to have if someone is breaking into your home. The other sound reminds me of a convenience store alert ring. We use these on our windows, and one on our son’s bedroom door. He’s 3 and just starting to get up on his own.
