  • Simply amazing
Color: Maze
The media could not be loaded. First of all, I like how pretty it is (I chose the Maze pattern). I am working from home on a work issued joke of a laptop and 60% of my work is pushing paper, which causes my laptop to go to sleep by the time I'm ready to update the database, and the other 40% is devoted to emailing updates to clients or essential staff in the office, or to look up information I can get from our public website. I spend a CRAZY amount of time relogging into my laptop with my no-less-than-14-character-password to get back in. Because of that and my 10-inch screen with itty bitty font, I was spending as little time as possible on the laptop and just using MS 365 to get to my email. My office manager asked why I'm only online usually less than 2 hours a day. Que search for mouse mover... I actually plugged it into my desk top, put my work mouse on it and watched my cursor on my laptop move randomly about my screen every 15 seconds or so. Is it silent? No, and I'm no tech pro, but I imagine it's because it has moving parts. It hums/vibrates while it is moving the mouse and when it's not, it emits no other sound that I can hear. Is the sound deafening or otherwise distracting? No, not deafening, and not any more distracting than Alexa playing my music. When Alexa is on volume 1, I hear both the humming sound and the vibration sound. When Alexa is on volume 2, i only hear the humming. I imagine that in time, it will be a sound that my subconscious barely notices no matter what volume level Alexa is at. But until then, it reminds me that my mouse is moving and I don't have to enter my ridiculous password 800 times a day. My work mouse is the best part of my laptop set up and I was afraid that due to its massive footprint, the mouse mover would be rendered ineffective. My Logitech MX Vertical mouse moves in an arching motion from side to side and up and down around like a bumper car in a crowded ring. I think that as long as you place the "eye" of the mouse on the pretty design, you are good to go. I've had my mouse on it for nearly 15 minutes and the courser is on a different part of the laptop screen any time I looked at it. Just to compare, I put my desktop mouse on my new favorite possession and it's moving the cursor all over my desktop monitor as well. I don't know if the difference in the size of my two screens is making a difference in the movement patterns. On my desktop, the cursor is mainly moving to the right of my screen and venturing to the center here and there. On my laptop, the cursor moves from edge to edge and spends a lot of time at the upper part of my screen before making its way to the bottom of the screen. On either computer I feel the movements look like a human is moving it...in my opinion. Set up was so easy...take it out of the box, untie the USB cord and insert the small end into the top of the mover and the regular end into the power source...USB hub, desktop tower, or a wall adapter will do the trick. There is nothing to install. Click the on button on USB cord and it immediately goes to work. I ordered it after 11 pm on the 18th and it was delivered by noon on the 21st. I was worried when I realized the contents of the plastic shipping bag as it wasn't bubble wrapped or otherwise externally cushioned. The box it came in was corrugated and the inside of the box had a spongy wrapping that the mover was fully protected during shipment. For the price, the aesthetics, and the speed at which it arrived definitely earned this 5 star review. (I was not solicited, offered a discount, or given any other rewards for this review.) ... show more

  • Money well spent
Color: Fireworks
This device does exactly what it is intended to do. It's literally plug and play. It will keep your mouse active ensuring that your computer does not go to sleep. It will keep your status on TEAMS in the active status as well. My only complaint is that it does not come with the wall plugin adapter. You can power it by directly plugging it in to your computer via USB port but I prefer to plug it into a wall outlet. Otherwise it's a fantastic device and I highly recommend it to anymore looking for something like this. It does it's job quietly and effectively. ... show more

  • Keeps me from going idle during work!
Color: Fireworks
The media could not be loaded. Super easy device to setup. I have mine plugged into a charging block and into the outlet, but you can plug the USB directly into a computer. It has a spinning device that while rotate and pause frequently to keep your mouse moving at differing patterns. Have used it for about a week and absolutely love this thing! Wasn't super expensive; wish I had purchased it earlier! This helps me from going idle or getting logged out for my work from home position. Now I can step away during down periods and get some things done around the house without someone questioning my status going to "away." Additionally its very quiet and the light on the wire glows to display that it is on. Highly recommend picking up one of these awesome devices! ... show more

  • It works! How did I live so long without it?
Color: Maze
What do I like? It works!! Now the only time my screen times out is when I forget to put the mouse on the pad :-) »» The movement pattern varies with the particular selection. I bought the one with a "fingerprint" pattern because it looks cool. However, the cursor gets stuck in the upper left corner of the screen. It still jiggles, but it's not very convincing. »» I made a screen capture of the "psychedelic blue" pattern, printed and cut it out, then glued it with rubber cement to the "turntable" of the device. Works great, and the cursor roams all over the screen. I don't think it would pass a Turing test, as most of the motions are long swipes from 10-oclock to 4-oclock (upper left to lower right) about every 5 to 15 seconds. But once in a while the device mixes it up with long horizontal swipes or little jiggles. »» I don't know how the other two patterns would fare. As I'm satisfied with "psycho-blue" I'm not going to bother to find out. »» I have it powered by an old phone charger. Manufacturer says there's no data connector in the supplied USB cable -- which should mean the device cannot be detected by the PC. But I'm a "belt-and-suspenders" person, and also I might mess up some day and plug in a cable with a data wire. »» Some reviewers have written that it's noisy. Mine is only 2 weeks old, but so far it's been quiet as a mouse ;-). I will update this review if that changes. »» I'm using a corded optical mouse. I've tested it with a wireless optical mouse and that works, too. But I doubt that an "old-school" trackball style mouse would work very well. »» This device is 100% isolated from the computer. No device driver, no software to install, nothing, nada. It's "plug and spin". »» Recommended? Yes. (As in, how did I survive without it before???) What don't I like? »» The pad is big (5¼ x 3½ inches), so it's big enough for any mouse I've ever had. But my current mouse is much smaller, and I'd like a "Junior" size version so that it takes up less of my precious desk space. »» It's also fairly tall at 1½ inches »» It needs to sit on a level surface. Otherwise the cursor will end up getting stuck somewhere on the screen. Not sure whether that will lead to failure of the jiggle algorithm or not. ... show more

  • Super helpful and also cute!
Color: Artsy
I love this little device! It’s been a game changer with work. I saw other reviews mention noise, but I haven’t noticed. I do have an air filter running in my office, so it may cover whatever sound, but if this little thing does make noise, it can’t be that loud. This is one of my favorite purchases! Only wish I had purchased sooner - well worth it. Plus it’s cute. I love the design. ^-^ ... show more
