This is my second time purchasing this case. First time was direct from Tech21. Both times, the flimsy plastic clasp has broken after a short while of normal use. The first time I just cut off the useless flap of leather after a while. The hard plastic nub on the right off the phone case is quite durable though. Annoyingly so. Long after the clasp breaks, you still have this hard piece of plastic digging into your hand whenever you type. It makes the phone annoying difficult to hold, and I think whoever designed this really didn’t consider how the phone would actually be used. I mostly use this case because it has the best wallet while being slim, but it’s truly a bad design with that clasp. A magnet would be far better. I hope Tech21 fixes this for future EVO wallet designs. ... show more

    • Folio screen cover doesn’t fit well. Clasp iffy.

So I had 3 of the folio cases with the orange protective band from Tech21 for my 6s - very nicely made (changed due to wear not failure over several years), the cover fit on-center to screen and tension clasp worked well. One tension clasp broke in first week, and they replaced it. However, this new case, I agree with other reviewers that it seems rather flimsy and cheaply made. The cover does not sit on-center to the screen but favors the clasp side, and, consequently, the edges of cover on claps side will likely catch on things and abrade/warp sooner. Moreover, the new case’s edge protector band for phone seem quite thin vs the old orange one rated for a 10’ drop. I agree with other reviews that a magnetic closure, and one that you can set to turn on/off screen when lid is lifted/shut, would be an improvement. ... show more

Having used Tech21 cases from many years now, I was comfortable getting another one for my new iPhone Pro Max. Sadly, this one did not meet my expectations. Pro: Solid case Tech21 12' drop rating (I didn't test this but I have inadvertently tested it in the past on other cases) Hygienic Protection (because 2020) Cons: Very bulky too thick to use with all but the strongest wireless chargers Stand function barely works and only in certain position (the weight of the iphone and the case makes this function laughably useless) Overall it is a well made case but the functionality is glitched. Nice ideas, poorly executed. I will be returning this case. I still trust Tech21 for phone drops, but they need to up their game on functionality. That said, I am guessing they were rushed to get this out ASAP with limited time with the actual phone. ... show more

I've been using the case for about a week now and it's a fantastic case. It fits perfectly, the quality and material is solid. Everything about it feels like a top-notch product. All the buttons work great and are easy to press. The ONLY thing wrong with this is the clasp. It feels like it's going to break with the constant clip and unclip. Lo and behold, tonight it finally broke and it's only been a week. If tech21 can re-engineer the clasp into a magnetic flap or something, anything but this flimsy plastic buckle, it would be the most perfect phone case. ... show more

In spite of the reviews, I did purchase this case, well, because it is one of the better cases, for the money that will protect your screen on your phone. Impulse purchase for me. Very tight fitting case!... hard to get phone out. Harder to handle phone compared to a regular case. Bought a regular case to use instead. I do like having the option to have the 2 cards with me in the case.
