This was recommended for 8yrs + it was difficult for me at 37yrs to put together. Pieces were SO small and difficult and to get secure was challenging too. After light play, the wheels came off. This particular set had only two sets of bars/axles, many more wheels and boards than parts. So we only had 1 pre-made board and two we could build. Leaving lots of parts left over, unless we want to buy more. It was so hard to put the two together, I have no intention in buying more parts to use the leftovers. ... show more

    • Package only contains enough parts for 3 skateboards, not 6.

The quality is great for the price, but I found the picture and language misleading. You get 6 "boards" and 6 sets of wheels, but you only get 3 sets of trucks. That means you can only make 3 complete boards. You then have 3 sets of wheels that you can't attach to the 3 "extra" boards. It makes no sense. A year or so ago I bought my kids something similar, only that one came with everything you needed to make the boards. The price was similar, and I assumed this was the same thing. This set leaves out trucks, which doesn't really seem to make any sense. I doubt they are all that expensive. If you read through all of the info you can see that only 3 sets of trucks are included, but who wants to take the time to do that for some stocking stuffer? ... show more
