  • Great tv! Worth every penny
Size: 55 inches Style: TV only
First TCL tv. I like it so far. Easy access to apps. Google tv works well. Looks nice. Quality picture. Sounds pretty high we are using 30 and it’s loud Doesn’t need additional sound bar or so. Definitely worth money

  • Amazing picture quality
Size: 65 inches Style: TV only
I have an older 55" TCL Roku TV which is almost six years old and is just ok, but not great. Bought this 65" one to replace as I place that in another room. My expectations were only fair for this, but it was very inexpensive and I figured it would be very similar. Boy was I wrong. The image quality on this TV is amazing. The colors are vibrant and bright and it can be viewed very well from extreme angles. If you look at the picture I included I was able to see the texture in the material of a baseball game I was watching yesterday from an antenna. Truly amazed at the detail. Oh I wanted to add that the sound quality is amazing too. I have a sound bar that I was going to use, but the quality and wattage of the internal speakers make that not needed. I did have some trouble setting it up initially as it was telling me that certain apps were not useable in my geographic area even though they should be as I am in the United States. I called TCL and they were very helpful. They took time to trouble shoot with me and we determined it likely was not the TV but something with my Gmail account. I used a different Gmail account and then everything was fine. The thing that shocked me was today, 24 hours later, I got a phone call from TCL. It was the same person I had spoken with yesterday who wanted to make sure my issues were corrected and wanted to know if I had any other questions. That was an example of truly great customer service as well. It is very nice to know that if you do have a problem with the TV that they will treat you as a valued customer and give that sort of support. Truly above and beyond. ... show more

  • Incredible TV - Like Sitting in a Movie Theater
Size: 98 inches Style: TV only
We saw this 98" monster in a store and just had to have it! Ordered it through Amazon. The picture is stunning, clear and due to the size, feels like sitting in a movie theater. It is very heavy (120 lbs) so you need at least two people to set it up. We have ours sitting on a low entertainment center. Set up was easy and intuitive. We can highly recommend this. ... show more

  • AMAZING TV!!!
Size: 55 inches Style: TV only
I had been shopping for a new TV for several months, I had a long wishlist but my TV was still working okay - So I kept trying to save more money to get EVERYTHING on my list (I mean who doesn’t want everything on their list, right?).. Well then one day my TV just wouldn’t turn on again! UGGH then I was forced into a corner BEFORE I was actually ready to buy - But it was shortly before a holiday so I knew there would be sales coming up! After scouring the sales and comparing everything I settled on this Model. This TV is a QLED with upscaling. Its a 4K TV with DOLBY ATMOS & other DOLBY formats as well as the other HDR Pro etc. It also has the ability to change the screen formatting for Cinematic experience or other screen viewing settings! You can choose various Audio formats as well from voice heavy to cinematic. The picture quality is AMAZING! It os so clear & crisp and from every angle! Gone are the days of having to be directly in front of the TV to habe a good viewing experience!! It is a GOOGLE TV which I have never had before, but I don’t mind it.. it guides you through the setup - AND I use Firesticks anyway - So it doesn’t matter much! I DO HOWEVER love the LIVE TV function better on the native TV than the Firestick so I use that regularly. Also the TV does have the ability to download & run all of your favorite apps like Hulu, Netflix , Prime, Max, Disney+, etc — I just didn’t because I was already signed in to them all on the Stick so it was just plug and play! This TV is a FANTASTIC VALUE for the Money paid! I am extremely HAPPY with this TV and even HAPPIER with how much $$$ I saved by buying this vs the others that I was looking 👀 at! My previous TV was also a TCL and I was very happy with it, until it just died & wouldn’t turn back on! I am a HUGE FAN of the TCL BRAND! You WONT REGRET THIS PURCHASE! ... show more

  • Update: Can only use WiFi SSID on either 2.4ghz or 5ghz, not on both
Size: 65 inches Style: TV only
Updated: It turns out that this TV has old, inadequate WiFi support that does not work well with modern WiFi systems that present the same SSID on both the 2.4ghz and 5ghz bands at the same time (thus letting the client chose which band to lock on to.) To get reliable WiFi with this TV I had to change our WiFi settings to create a new "IoT" SSID on either the 2.4 or 5ghz bands (but *not* both) and then update the TV settings to use that new SSID. (I put mine on the 5ghz band.) Fortunately my Netgear Orbi system was able to create that new, additional SSID and lock it to exactly one of the frequency bands (2.4 or 5ghz). Before getting this TV one should check that their WiFi hardware is able to do this. When doing this you probably will need to restart the TV multiple times. Neither Amazon nor TCL support was much help figuring this out. Original: We will probably return this - WiFi is unreliable (only way to use is via a Roku plugged in to HDMI) We just got this new TV, TCL 65-Inch Q65 QLED 4K UHD Smart TV with Google TV (65Q651G, 2024 Model) and set it up yesterday. Some points: First: This unit does not reliably connect to WiFi. It can see our networks, it can connect (sometimes) after a power reset, but often not. It looses the connection until the unit is power cycled and a fresh attempt made. Our prior TV had no problem. The Roku that we have to use in order to use this TV connects to WiFi with total reliability. We have excellent WiFi here (NetGear Orbi system) and no other device of any kind has any difficulty with our WiFi. We are networking technologists, we are unlikely to have made any errors in the setup of the SSID or the access pass phrase - it is just that sometimes the WiFi works on this TV (for a while) and often it does not work. All other WiFi devices, including the Roku sitting right next to it, work fine while this TV struggles and fails. This turns this unit, from our point of view into nothing but a dumb screen that we can use only via a Roku (that has no trouble with WiFi) plugged into one of the HDMI ports. We did a software upgrade so we are running the latest release. Basically this is unacceptable and if we can not resolve this we will simply have to return this TV for a refund Second: The off-angle viewing range is rather limited. Off center viewing that was OK with our prior (Samsung) is blury with this unit. Third: Google TV seems to be a repacking of YouTube with apps. It can be rather difficult to find content that is not part of the Google ecosystem. We actually prefer to use this unit via our tried and true Roku (which has no WiFi problems) via an HDMI connection. Google TV seems designed by and for children. Fourth: Some of the controls are hard to find - like turning off Soap Opera mode can take a bit of digging. (In its default mode, old B&W movies looked awful.) ... show more
