  • Amazing for movies AND gaming!!
Size: 65 inches Style: TV only
Bought this TV for my bedroom and replaced a 4 year old 50inch samsung. TCL has got the best TV remotes and google is the best OS for smart TVs. The colors look very good on the TV and the blacks get very dark. Whites look awesome and TV gets very bright. Settings is easy to navigate. FOR GAMING, it has 120hz refresh rate which looks super good and helps me stay on top. the TVs built in gaming mode is very good, I started playing games before i set up gaming mode and got scared due to there being a large enough delay in the response from XBOX to TV. after putting on gaming mode, it was perfectly fine with good response time. Speakers in TV sound good for a TV but I have my own surround sound set up anyways. But for the average ear, speakers sound pretty solid. Finally putting it together was so easy, didn’t even need 2 people. VALUE FOR MONEY, it’s very very good for the money, I paid $700. If you are thinking, just pull the trigger. • Best TV Ever!!!
Size: 85 inches Style: TV only
Our living room has a high ceiling and can’t find a perfect TV for the size of the wall until i came across TCL 85 inch QM7 QLED 4K. The built in speaker are amazing. No soundbar needed. The colors are beautiful and perfect for the eyes. This gives you the theater experience. The set up was very easy and quick. We are very satisfied about the performance of the TV. The money spent is worth it. Now i can feel like i am in the stadium when watching sports. The user interface is also friendly. The remote control is very easy to use. My mother in law did not have any issue navigating the TV. I definitely recommend buying this TV for everyone. We are very satisfied!!! Norman Rivera ... show more

  • Great TV for the price
Size: 65 inches Style: TV only
Typically you get what you pay for. But I'm blown away what you can get at this price now. The picture quality is a massive upgrade from my 6 year old TV. It's far brighter with far better HDR. The color is really good. I spent way more on my old TV. I mean, look, this isn't a super high end TV. But I suspect I'd be equally blown away at the picture of a twice as expensive set, but the wallet part would hurt more. This is better than I thought I'd be having at this point, and this price point makes it that much sweeter. I did have to replace one of my HDMI cables as it seems this TV was quite sensitive to whatever issues the old one was having. I don't think it's a spec issue, but probably a faulty cable that my old TV probably tolerated better. ... show more

  • Don't buy if you use a universal remote! Or PS5 with receiver. Or Roku... or you know, just DON'T
Size: 75 inches Style: TV only
I’ve had the 75” QM7 for over a month of constant problem solving and headaches, and very much regret my decision. I had a fairly recent Hisense U7K that was broken by a hurled toy. I was going to replace it with the newer Hisense U7N but Rtings reviews led me to believe this TCL QM7 75” would be slightly superior to the 75” Hisense. In case it helps anyone, here are a series of issues I’ve had with the QM7 and the best solutions I’ve found. I had none of these issues with my Hisense TV! PROBLEM: The TV has no internal “power on” or “power off” commands, only “power toggle”. I added the TCL model 75QM751G to Harmony, and tried many other models. Regardless, the TCL TV has no internal commands for “power on” or “power off”. In other words, the ONLY command the TV knows is, “whatever the power setting was before, switch it”. This means any missed signal will throw a universal remote off sync. SOLUTION: There is no real solution, but I mapped an unused button on the remote to “power toggle” so I can fix issues more easily at least. PROBLEM: The TV has no dedicated input commands. The only command available is the “Source” command, I can not directly call an input like “HDMI 2” needed to set up an activity. In other words, I can only tell the TV, “Change the input source” that pulls up a list, but I can’t tell it what to change to. SOLUTION: Someone online suggested I add an older TCL model (65R646), which worked, it has dedicated HDMI inputs. (I had to create a new device in Harmony and use an old IR universal remote to train it with the combined set of useful commands) PROBLEM: Dedicated input still not working Despite using Harmony’s "I press different buttons" setting for inputs, the TV will first switch to the correct HDMI input, but THEN it execute the “Source” command and switch it again. So it will end up on some random other input. Maddening. Not sure if this is more of a Harmony or TCL issue. SOLUTION: Modify the activity to use the setting "I do not set an input" so it’s not doing anything to the TV. Then under "Customize this activity", I added a new "HDMI1" command to the chain of commands to start my activity. PROBLEM: The TV is not always “hand shaking” with the receiver sending a PS5 or Roku signal. When I turn everything on for PS5 or Roku through my receiver, the TV is not properly "hand shaking" with the receiver, it shows a signal of 1080p in the info box, and I see no picture (but hear it running). I tried fixing this by setting the TV to always use HDMI 2.1, the receiver is set to 8k enhanced. (I never had this issue with my Hisense TV) SOLUTION: Under "Customize this activity", I have the PS5 and receiver turn on and set input first, then 5 sec delay, before the TV powers on and sets inputs. PROBLEM: Still have some handshake issues with PS5! Some PS5 games (like Spider-Man: Miles Morales) can switch the PS5 to 120fps mode and back, which the TV supports just fine, but if the console switches the mode or switches back to 60fps, the TV sometimes loses the signal, and just cuts off. Again, as with every other problem listed here, I had the same console and receiver with my Hisense TV and never had this issue. SOLUTION: None, except to restart things until I get a picture back. Well, I’m still in the return window for the TV though, and this is feeling like the final straw… This last issue was the final straw, the TV just can't handle source changes coming from the console or receiver, even though my last TV could handle it fine with the same equipment otherwise. I fiddled with all these things for so long I'm out of the return window. I don't think it would be hard for TCL to fix these issues if they cared at all. If anything improves with an update from TCL I would update this review, but I'm not holding my breath. ... show more

  • Good value, great sound
Size: 55 inches Style: TV only
This TV provides a nice picture a, equivalent to my Samsung Series 6, which is UHD, I expected a higher depth resolution with the QD-Mini LED screen which I thought would mimic OLED sine that is the difference between OLED & QLED. That said, I believe there is a significant picture quality differential as to how the medium was shot in the first place. Nature shows come through great! Pros: Solid picture, fantastic sound -no need for sound bar, easy set up for Apple Play, no need for Firestick remote the TCL remote works Firestick too, remote has buttons for Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video, Apple TV, Pluto and TCL TV. Cons: no preset picture settings, must individually adjust brightness, tint, contrast. Should have settings for movies, normal, vivid, games preset. TV remains stable on base if left alone but tips easy, especially when removing protective plastic from screen. No App Store to load additional applications 😞 Bottom Line: I think this was an excellent price value. Would definitely recommend. ... show more
