So far they fit right for the car haven’t had them that long, but seems OK. Paint was a little easy to come off in one piece that covers the lock but other than that.

Update! Didn’t hold up. Paint is peeling. I know it’s cheap but I expected to get longer out of it. I have a Yakima wind shield on the front that I doubt would hold up in a car wash. This mounting I take off and put on within 60 seconds. I go to the car wash and I unlocked the driver side just a little. That allows me to remove and place in my trunk. I go through the car wash and then I’m able to connect the passenger side and tighten on the driver side within seconds. I eye ball where the feet line up in my sunroof and it’s done. Its low profile is nice. Very sturdy. For the price I’d buy it again ... show more

This thing is heavy duty, better quality than what I would expect for $50. Putting it together ain't the easiest. And I haven't gotten it installed yet. Did take a pic with it setting on my roof. Will provide updates and more pics whenever I get it fully installed

Good materials with with some deficiencies on the details.. the only step I couldn’t understand was the release of the metal straps, the rest it’s ok.. so when installing I did a couple of nasty scratches on both sides of the car. That’s the next thing if you tide the straps a little extra by mistake 1-clamps slide off(scratch the paint.)2-when learning how to loose the straps, one minute was stuck and next second so loose I was pulling in out with pliers then I did another scratch.. 3-The clamps got bended because I tide them too much.., but they should be stronger, and bigger.. yes it does sounding when hitting wind at 45-50 MpH. And some extra rubber and protection for the clamps. ... show more

This worked out well but the directions are horrible. Find a video walk through of how to put together and you will be fine. After putting to together these worked out to be great. I placed a cargo basket on top of them then about another 70 pounds and no problems at all.

This rack arrived like it traveled work out a box, it was all beat up and missing one of the “legs” and a few other parts. I even attempted to install one of the cross bars to see if it fit my car so I would know to get a replacement or a refund. It did NOT fit, I couldn’t close the doors completely without them bending. I tried all 3 different brackets. Save yourself the trouble of reopening it. ... show more

As stated by another reviewer, the ratchet device slips and then it's broken. I got the racks mounted easily. The support bars seem decent (aluminum), the footings are made out of pretty cheap plastic. I figured it looked ok and I'm not planning on using it for heavy duty stuff, so let's tighten it down. Right when I almost got it to the sweet spot of being tight (where you could not lift the racks off the surface), the ratchet device slipped on the slotted metal band and then it wouldn't tighten at all. I went to the other side and was able to get that side tight enough where I might be able to use the rack for something light and small (definitely would not put a bike, kayak, SUP or surfboard on it). It's pretty much ready for the trash can. I was trying to see if they sold the metal tightening band as a replaceable part, but can't find it... Not worth the money spent. ... show more
