Features

  • This adjustable in-line bench dog clamp allows you to secure work flat to your workbench anywhere there are 3/4 dog holes. The post is just shy of 3/4, so will slip in and out of any 3/4 inch dog hole. Used in conjunction with a plane stop or bench dogs, you can secure virtually any size or shape workpiece anywhere on your bench.
  • You can clamp parts equally well on the top or edge of a workbench. The low-profile design sits just 11/16 of an inch above the surface of your bench, so will not interfere when planning or sanding 3/4 inch thick material. The post is 2-5/8 long overall and can extend a full 2 inch into a benchtop.
  • The moveable head travels on smooth-turning 10 TPI carbon steel threads that produce high horizontal clamping pressure with the least effort. The clamp head has a full 5 of travel. The handle is a low-profile sliding pin bar design. Threads and handle are zinc plated for smooth motion and corrosion resistance.
  • The 2 inch long x 5/8 inch square moveable head has a V-groove in the center and pivots 2 degrees to accommodate irregular shaped parts. The head has 2 mounting holes to allow attachment of custom clamp pads. Both the head and post are black coated to resist corrosion.
  • Will clamp parts up to 4 inches thick

  • Works great
I was pleasantly surprised by how well this tool worked. It’s pretty basic but if that’s what you’re looking for then this one does a good job. It’s built well and works well. I’ve used it more than I thought I would since I got it. It was definitely worth it for me.

  • Versatile and well built
This is been a great addition for my dabbling in hand tool woodwork. It offers lots of versatility in clamping especially with irregularly shaped objects. I can use a vise and bench dog to hold and then this to come in from a diagonal angle, or this can work with a planing stop. The only thing I would change about the design is the way it adjusts. You have to push the cross bar all the way through every half turn to keep adjusting it while in a dog hole. It does feel sturdy and is well priced though. I bought it over the premium Veritas one with a cool different adjustment and other affordable Amazon options that had a ratcheting wrench system. TayTools seems to make/sell good stuff and does lots of collaboration with my favorite YouTubers even providing them distribution for product ideas. I like supporting this brand. ... show more

  • Works OK
Works in my MDF assembly table, but clumsy to use. I think I will add a wagon vice to my SYP workbench. Typical of Taylor. They work, good value, but not premium tools.

  • Nice addition to my woodworking kit
The pair of these are very helpful for workholding on my workbench. You don't always have a hole where you need it, and these have bridged the gap for me. Sort of a pain cranking them, since you only get a half turn with the bench itself in the way, but I don't see a better solution for adjustment. Get it pretty close before you slip it in the dog hole, and you don't have to fight it much. ... show more

  • Great tail vise alternative!
The well machined tool fits in any 3/4" dog hole and can used anywhere on the workbench to secure your work like a tail vise for a fraction of the cost. The clamping face has pre-drilled holes to allow you to add an additional clamping face like wood, cork or leather to prevent damage to the work piece. Great product! ... show more

  • Good addition
I was looking for and subsequently found this! Seems sturdy and is easily adjustable. Good buy for those that are looking.

  • OK, but not great.
I like Taytool products but the built in adjustment handles are in the way and don’t function as well as the others with the wrench. The manufacturing is very good, if they went to the other adjustment system they would be the best in category!

  • A lot of movement in the acme screw
This dog hole clamp works as advertised. There is just a bunch of side to side movement in the acme screw before adding pressure/ making contact with the work piece. Once pressure is added it works fine. I bought 2 and they both do it so I guess it’s just me... Veritas wonder dogs/pup are $40+ and these are half the price, so you get what you pay for.
