  • Solid for what you pay
Easy to install and the sound quality it outputs is great the only small flaw is the sensitivity on the gain knobs turned mine just a pinch and it’s quite vocal

  • Impressive little unit
This amp has only been installed for a week. It replaced a boss chaos extreme 600 AB 75 watts RMS X 4. That amp lasted 9 years until my car was totalled from a red light runner. That amp was 4 times the size and weighed 11LBS. It served me well. Went through 8 New England summers and winters. This amp weighs just 1.32LBS. It is powering 9 year old Pioneer TS-D1720C 4 OHM 60watt RMS components up front and Pioneer TS-D6902R 4 OHM 90 watt RMS 6 X 9's in the rear deck. Theoretically I could put the gain all the way up on the amp and be safe with my speakers. I started at 50% and ran the head unit for a few days. Increased the gain to 60% for a few days and am now at 70% where I will leave it. All I can say is wow! This little amp is impressive. Crystall clear sound and as loud as the old amp. Plenty of base after fine tuning the head unit. I have a Rockville Audio 10" powered sub on the back seat floor. Didn't connect it until I was satisfied with the front and rear speakers sound. The Taramps manual recommends caution touching the amp after use. The shell is actually the amps heat sync. I played music at just under 50% volume for about 45 minutes. I Immediately put my hand on the amp after I turned the car off. It was barely warm to the touch. Time will tell if it lasts as long as the old amp. I'm not sorry at all with the purchase of this little power house! ... show more

  • The size makes it worth it
Originally bought because I wanted to split the front tweeters from the components in door. So given the power I connected speakers to one channel and tweeters to the other. The good is this little thing has alot of power. I mean alot. The bad it's class D so this could be good or bad. Good because it's more efficient power wise but the Sq was not as good as the 5chan so I am using this to drive the tweeters and the ab class amp to drive all the vocals and sub... if your using factory headunit then this would 100% take the strain of the headunit and make your system sound better. I gave it 4 stars because I was slightly disappointed and the sound quality compared to ab but but no means did it sound bad. If I didn't have the 5channel I totally would t mind using it to drive all my components as I was still impressed with the amp overall. If you look at the pic I was able to mount this on the ecu bracket and it is stealth Another pro about running this over a AB class amp? It runs a lot cooler due to class D design so you can jam hard on this and doesn't get hot or go into protect. May Bridge it so both sides drive just the tweeters as I couldn't on the door speakers as they are 2 ohm so stereo it's OK but bridged it would most likely kill it as it isn't one ohm stable bridged ... show more

  • Compact and powerful
Nice little amplifier! Seems to put out the power that it’s rated for, which is nice, considering the head unit that it’s connected to makes outlandish claims on RMS. (Not gonna say which brand, but it rhymes with moss 😉.) I actually had to turn the gain down to 4-5 ish to listen to my stereo at a comfortable level, and, even then, I really can’t turn it up over half volume to avoid deafness 😂 Fits nicely under my split bench seat in an out-of-the-way spot. No complaints so far! I’ve read some of the bad reviews on this unit tonight. Notably, many complaining about white noise. I’m convinced most of these people just don’t have a clue how to install car audio components. It’s easy people, don’t run your power and RCA cable’s together. Don’t peg the gain. It will distort the crappy speakers you have probably paired them with anyway. You know…the ones that can’t handle anywhere near 100 watts! ... show more
