I was very disappointed with this product because it has orange undertones. I purchased this product based on the reviews and description, expecting it to not turn orange anywhere on my body, but unfortunately this wasn’t the case. I avoided my elbows, hands, and knees when applying this lotion, but I never expected where my wrist meets the palm of my hand to turn orange. I used a special glove I purchased on Amazon to apply the tanning lotion in order to avoid any “orangy” look and I still have parts of my body that turned orange. I wouldn’t recommend this product. *******UPDATE BELOW*********** The company reached out to me and explained why I was having orange undertones when using the product, it’s because I have fair skin (which I do) and because of my fair skin, I purchased the wrong shade, I should’ve purchased the “light” product and not the “medium” product which is what I purchased. The company was very accommodating and immediately offered me a full refund or offered to exchange my product for the “light” shade. I opted to have them switch out my product. Even though this communication just took place today, I’m extremely happy that they reached out so quickly and offered a resolution. You can tell that they care about their customers and they stand behind their product, therefore I would definitely recommend doing business with this company. I know this is a long post, but I will do one more update once I receive the product exchange and I try it, but so far so good.***** FINAL UPDATE- the company kept their promise and sent me the lighter shade for my skin type, I applied this product 2 days ago and I absolutely love it!! This product has given my skin a beautiful sun kissed glow and it looks amazing. I would suggest that if you have any questions about which product you should purchase, contact the seller because they are extremely knowledgeable, care about their customers, and stand behind their product 100%!! I got this self-tanner because of its more natural nature of it as opposed to others on the market that contain toxic ingredients. Despite its natural components, it does what it is intended to do WITHOUT streaks if applied somewhat uneven, residue on clothes, blotchiness once it starts wearing off, etc. I would recommend going for the Medium to Dark because the level of darkness is still lighter than what you might expect. i am giving this a premature review and will update in the morning once tan has fully developed! So my holy grail has always been josie marans argan liquid gold tanning oil. I had ran out and wanted to venture off to try another organic brand that is good for your skin. As i am currently pregnant so it is important i tried a brand that is good for your skin. I shook this tube as well as possible, will not lie i am no beginner to self tanning but the white cream did scare me a bit as there is no tracker. I had exfoliated the morning of, moisturized my skin from head to toe making sure to give attention to the tough skin the best. Tonight i moisturized my entire body again. Waited for it to settle in real well and also on my knee caps, elbows, cuticles etc. i then applied a thin layer of Bag Balm. Let that settle and then began the tan! This makes all the difference in those areas! I started from the bottom and worked my way up. I was very thorough and on the areas you apply a thinner layer i buffed them all out very well with a makeup brush (as usual) along to my face/hairline as well. .i also took the face mitt and used that to buff those areas as i don't think i will be actually using it for my face. I like the idea of an extra small buffer for my feet, ankles etc. So that came in handy. I highly recommend getting the cream woth the mitt set. For my back i used my self tanning back applicator for the stubborn middle area that's almost impossible to get too, again blending extremely well. The cream blends/spread pretty well. It didn't seem to go on patchy or anything . The smell to me as applying in my opinion is great! It is a subtle vanilla coconut and most definitely nothing artificial smelling. If you have a sensitive nose you will be able to handle this i promise! I am also currently 26 weeks pregnant so if i think the smell is subtle, it definitely is!! Now i just hope it doesn't turn into your usual corn chip smell as it starts to set. I applied before bed so once my review is posted i will revise it and to give my final first thoughts. Fingers crossed it's a winner in my book. You can never go wrong with finding another self tanner you like. So far i was pleasantly surprised and i enjoyed my night of pampering. *********************** UPDATE - i woke up with the most Beautiful tan. Very little streaking, no orange color..beautiful natural bronze shade. It paid off to be extra thorough. As i said blend, blend, blend. I always take a makeup brush and blend the harder areas extra well and i never have an issue. I will say if you have bruises anywhere this will add to the color. So don't be overwhelmed if you think you were the one that wasn't careful enough. In the winter i always get dry cracked skin on ny hands and i have permanent marks from them. So no matter what self tanner i use my hands always look a bit off. It just is what it is..i make sure to go lighter on them and blend extra well. I just applied another round . So far i am really liking it and depending on how the next several trials go i will stick with this one. I am almost in my 3rd trimester and i don't get to be in the sun enough. This self tanner gets the job done in very little time. If you are on the fence just try it. For the price the size is very good and there is a lot of lotion in it. I have avoided using self tanners for several years. I was not thrilled about the chemicals I was putting on my body. The ingredients in this self-tanner are safe and sensible for me.
