I had a shower water warmer that was bad. It leaked water and no longer warmed my shower water.. I replaced that unit with this unit. It installed easily and it worked great. I just connected the electrical lines to the one my old unit was using, screwed in the water hose and the hose leading to the shower head. And that's it. The supply water was not too cold. A lot of the reviews have covered the pros and cons of this on demand heater. My unit says it requires a 60 amp breaker, which is significant since many houses have just a 100 amp panel. Also 90% of folks are going to need to hire a professional to do the install on this. Even as someone with 20 years experience in the trades it’s right on the edge of my comfort zone putting something in that requires this much power. Better to follow the instructions and hire a professional. We haven’t installed this unit yet as our application will be for a summer use pottery studio. It’ll be a good way to have hot water for cleanup in the studio without taking up space with a conventional hot water heater/tank. The water will be turned off to the building in winter since it’ll be for summer use only. I would probably go with something else after seeing this close up. Electricity and water aren’t the kind of thing you should go cheap on when your house could be at stake if they fail catastrophically. ... show more

I bought the 220 version because thats what my previous heater had. After deciphering the wiring ...just a bit confusing because my unit has a side sticker that says its 220, but the wiring diagram instructions were for a 110 set up. And being a china version i can understand their wire code is different than ours. but it was easily hooked up and after playing with the controls, it works great. the only thing that i would like is that if this could have an automatic "on/off" setting. i manually need to turn it on. i'll just need to make sure i turn it off if i leave for a few days, just for piece of mind. its on standby most of the time. but heats pretty fast to set temperature. i like it. ... show more

I saw the dimensions in the listing but have to admit I couldn't believe quite how small this is until I got it. The heater is about the size of a cereal box..so easily something you could mount under a cabinet. My use case is for outdoor cleaning, so I appreciate that it's waterproof (splash-proof not drop it in the pool waterproof). It comes with a 2-3ft pigtail wire that you can either attach a plug or wire into a box. Once water was hooked up and you power it on, it wastes no time getting to business heating water. The digital display tells you the current temperature of the heated water which is nice. The unit is perfectly quiet and didn't get warm to the touch after running for more than 10 minutes. All around a great item that works well. The included instructions were straightforward and easy to follow. The water heater is really just a 'plug and play'. Yeah it's small. Smaller than expected. Can really only be used for one sink. It's easy to set up. Worked on first use and hasn't shorted out any of the power in my house so far, since It's not on its own designated breaker.
