This is the greatest investment in furniture I have made for a long time. I was incredibly hesitant to purchase this desk because I knew it was made out of particle board and a lot of the reviews said it fell apart, was hard to put together, and was not worth the money. I found the instructions very easy to follow and I completed the assembly in under an hour. The material is on the less expensive side, BUT still serviceable and did not break as I put it together. I was able to mount the fully assembled cabinet desk to the wall with ease by myself. I’ve been using the desk every day for work for six months now and it’s a big life saver since my partner and I are now working remotely from home in a small apartment. I absolutely love it’s size, the price, the clean look, and it’s sturdiness. The only negative I have for it is the gold hook shaped hardware clasp that holds the folded up desk table in place is flimsy plastic (not metal) and feels like it’s going pop off any day now. I am in love with this desk. It is sturdy and beautiful! I love that I can close the desk up and not have to see my laptop, headset, and paperwork. The color is a perfect white! My chair fits perfectly and the desk is super comfortable. Plenty of arm room so that my arms aren’t hanging off the desk which could cause wrist issues. The desk comes in pieces and it does require assembly. There are many pieces. I highly recommend using the paper dimensions vs the dimensions provided in the Amazon posting. There is a difference and you’ll need the paper/written dimensions. It is also a two person job to hang in my opinion. But once you get the brackets on and mounted it is super sturdy. Overall, this product was somewhat of a hassle to put together, and I have put together a fair share of IKEA/similar furniture. Assembled it could have provided better instructions for mounting the desk on the wall, and using the hardware intended for that purpose. Also, I definitely could not have put this up without my boyfriend‘s assistance, and then we dropped it a couple of times. However, after dropping it a few times there was not significant damage and it’s still functions and performs as expected. The Picture Pages provided were a bit harder to understand on the assembly, but you could definitely get it done if you have assembled things in the past. Not enough screws were included, but luckily i had some on hand. The wall anchors were also terrible Bent when trying to tap in, but again i provided my own. I installed this in my bathroom and fold down each morning to use as a vanity. I put all of my makeup brushes in the angled slats, and makeup and lotions on the little shelves. I have plenty of room for my items. I had a bench from a previous vanity that i just store underneath the closed unit and it fits very nicely at the back of my master bathroom. Perfect for what i need. Better than expected. Should have measure the "hang height" a bit more accurately, because we hanged it a bit too high, and the table kind of tilts forward when opened. I will probably put a decorative wood block under it to make it level when i unfold in the future. It is not "off" so badly that anything rolls off or at all. I got this desk so that I didn’t have to do school on my bed for my eLearning days. It was a pain in the neck to assemble because the instructions are picture based and the labels for each screw came off because of how the packaging was done. It took 3 hours to assemble but it was worth it because of how cute and convenient it was for my room. Unfortunately it only lasted 2 weeks and it fell off my wall. The problem wasn’t the wall because the hooks are still fully intact into my wall. In the pictures you can see that it split in half and the hinges that connect the two large parts lifted the wood from the original piece it was connected to (since I pulled it out of the amazon box) and is unrepairable. So thanks to COVID-19 I had to organize an office in my small guest bedroom. I needed a desk that would be compact and ideally could be easily put away when guests stay in this room. This desk is exactly what I was looking for. One of the best things about this table is that you can customize it a million different ways. Here's a list of what I did to it: 1. Added a pattern to the front panel. 2. Reinforced the structure with the corner brackets as I didn't attach those shelves inside. 3. Spray painted the hardware with gold paint so it matches the lock and the pattern. 4. Attached a monitor wall mount inside of the box (we actually drilled through the back wall of the box and the wall and attached it to a stud). 5. Put self adhesive wallpaper on the back wall of the box. 6. Attached a few cork tiles to the back wall to make a bulletin board. 7. Attached a couple of dry erase magnet plates on the side of the box. 8. Attached a battery operated LED light. Overall, I think it’s decent quality and putting it together was easy. The hardest part was to hang it. My boyfriend and I did it ourselves and let's put it that way - I'm glad we're still together after we’ve done it :) He still doesn't trust our job and checks on me periodically to make sure I'm not buried under a pile of MDF or whatever this table is made of :) ... show more
