Description

The 35-150mm F2-2.8 covers wide-angle through telephoto and is ideal for both travel and portrait photography. It is the first zoom lens for Nikon Z mount cameras to have a maximum wide-open aperture of F2. With high-level performance under a wide variety of shooting conditions, this fast lens is ideal for travel aimed at creating photographic works. Incorporating the most frequently used focal lengths from wide-angle and standard to medium telephoto and telephoto all within this single lens enables seamless shooting without the need to swap lenses, which is beneficial especially when shooting portraits where a sense of rhythm is particularly important and helps to capture outstanding shots without missing fleeting expressions of the subject. • Great all around lens to carry in your bag!
This has been one of my all time favorite lenses to carry around. First time, I tried it was at a Tamron event and fell in love with the lens. It has been on my camera ever since I purchased it. Works amazing with my Nikon Z8 and images are sharp. Fast focusing on my Nikon Z8 and Z6 without any issues. Just be warned that this lens doesn't come with IS, so make sure you have it on in the camera body. Easy to upgrade firmware on the lens with the USB C port located on the lens itself. 82mm is the filter mount so be ready to spend a bit extra for lens filters. Color rendition is great as well. Now, the best part about owning a Nikon body is the micro adjustment. You could calibrate your lens to the body and have very sharp images. I can't complain about this lens. Get the other lens as well Tamron 150-500 ... show more

  • Great bokeh
Speedy delivery. Arrived less than 3 days after ordering. The bokeh with f2 is very pleasing. This will be my one lens for baby, event & wedding photography. As others have mentioned, it's a heavy lens. After a 2hr event, I definitely felt it in my arms, especially with a large flash unit mounted on my camera. But at F2 - F2.8, there will be lots of times I won't need a flash. [Edit]: while there was no warranty card included, per se, I was able to successfully register the lens at Tamron USA with the serial # and proof of purchase PDF for their advertised 6 year warranty. The box also has a sticker saying that the seller is an authorized US Tamron dealer. ... show more

  • Excellent
I purchased this lens from raving reviews on YouTube and was very impressed with how sharp it was in the focused area. It renders beautiful Bokeh as well. It is a very useful range for me. The only downside is that It is a very, very heavy lens, not easy to carry around. I still love it.

  • One of the best lenses I own for Z9
This is hands down one of the best Z9 lenses. I have the 24-70 2.8 and the 70-200 2.8. I loathe my 24-70 lens. I hate the photo quality; grainy, poor clarity. One of the poorest pieces of glass I have owned. The 70-200 is fantastic, takes great shots, but is super heavy for traveling around with it, and I lose the lower mm shooting. So I purchased the Tamron with just the hope that I would like it better than the 24-70 and give me the lower mm again. This lens……WOW. It is crystal clear. Good bokeh. I have shot landscape, sunset/sunrise, graduation portraits, wildlife, storm photography and some astrophotography and it has been mind blowing in quality and composition. I took it on a 12 day vacation and used it the entire trip except for when I went birding and needed my telephoto lens. Lightweight, easy to travel around with, and the quality of the photos is amazing. Sharp and clear. The only glass I keep in my camera bag now are the Tamron and the Nikkor 100-400 with telephoto 2x converter for longer distance shots. The 24-70 and 70-200 just made themselves irrelevant. The above pic was shot on the Z9 with the Tamron lens, hour before sunset, on the beach. If you are on the fence, I would buy this lens over and over again. **this was my first non-Nikkor lens I have ever purchased. ... show more

  • Very versatile.
Very versatile. Not quite as nice a picture as my 70-200 but so great to use one camera most of the time instead of having two because of the range. Highly recommend. I’ve been using it for a few months now and it is still sharp focus and picture quality is good. It is a good value for the money compared to other high end lens. ... show more

Few weeks in and I am still in wow. Did they finally do it? A zoom lens of such quality? Yes they did. Amazon won’t let me post my watermarked images but the quality is beyond profession. I have used it indoors and outdoors. It’s tack sharp, and bokeh is plentiful. This lens has replace my entire camera bag. I am using it with Nikon Z8. Super combo!!! ... show more

  • Less than expected for a $2500 lens
I bought this for my Nikon Z9 and I was less than impressed at the fit--it seemed to move slightly whenever I rotated the zoom ring. It only moved a millimeter or two, but I was taking 10,000-25,000 frames per day, so I hated the idea of the lens not fitting correctly for that many exposures. I sent the lens back to Tamron and they said it was fixed but it was exactly the same. It's not bad, but definitely not worthy of a $2500 lens to use with a $5000+ camera. Last time I use a non-Nikon lens. ... show more
