Such a cute little toy. It works great. It feels a tiny bit smaller than I remember them being but otherwise looks exactly the same. The beeping is kinda loud so I keep it on silent most of the time. I have a Tamagotchi Pix as well, but love the original for its simplicity and nostalgia. It's so easy to take with me and check on periodically throughout the day. I bought this for the nostalgia. After about two weeks, the repetitive care cycle started to annoy me. Then the battery abruptly died. I was, unfortunately, very grateful to see this. If you want a brief hit of nostalgia for a few days, this product is for you. I certainly did, which is why I'm rating it 4 stars instead of 1 despite the fact that I hate the thing now. The short battery life is actually almost a blessing, since it's a guilt free way to leave it in a drawer somewhere and forget about it. ... show more

Cute colors and design. This was a gift and boy did the child love it. I have no specifics on how it works but I can say it does make a lot of noise ( almost annoying at times). The good part from what I'm told is it can be muted.
