  • Does not keep accurate time
It’s an automatic watch, on the watch Winder, It loses 30 minutes every week . on my wrist, It will actually stop running. out of the blue just stop, and I’ve never taken it off my wrist. Poor quality, poor workmanship. Totally surprises me about this watch. up until now I was an avid Tag customer. Now I can save myself thousands of dollars and just buy some $50 watch. That’ll keep better time than this one. This is my opinion for the watch I purchased I do not recommend this watch or wasting your money on this watch to anyone else. ... show more

  • Solid Swiss Luxury Automatic Dive Watch
This is a solid Swiss luxury automatic dive watch at a relatively affordable price point. I purchased this TAG Heuer Aquaracer 300M (WAN2111.BA0822) directly from Amazon for significantly less than the retail price of $2600. It is a handsome alternative to more expensive Swiss automatic dive watches such as the Omega Seamaster Professional 300M ($4400) and Rolex Submariner ($7500 and up). This TAG Heuer Aquaracer 300M is an evolution of the original Heuer 2000 that debuted in 1982. Over the years, the Aquaracer model has changed but kept the rudimentary features which give it a distinctive look from other TAG Heuer models such as the Monaco or Carrera. The current Aquaracer 300M has been mostly unchanged since 2009. I could not be any happier with the watch. The Aquaracer 300M is sporty, sophisticated, and stylish. It is versatile, as it goes equally well with formal or casual wear. I have no problem wearing the watch in the boardroom or on the boardwalk. It has an uncluttered, rich deep-blue dial with very readable hour and minute markers. I have received a number of compliments from coworkers and friends alike. The lume is not that bright compared to another Swiss watch I own but it gets the job done. My copy keeps time flawlessly without any need to wind the crown if the watch is worn regularly (power reserve of 38 hr). Though it is not officially a COSC certified chronometer, this Aquaracer holds time suitably for my needs (+/- 3 sec/day). The automatic movement is the Calibre 5 which is a TAG Heuer modified ETA-2824-2 or Sellita SW200 movement with 25-26 jewels. The balance frequency is 28,800 vibrations/hr (4 Hz). I am amazed how well my watch maintains accuracy compared to atomic timekeeping. This dive watch has a unidirectional 120-click aluminum bezel and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal face with anti-reflective coating for increased clarity. This Aquaracer has a screw-in crown with double gaskets which provide water resistance up to 300M. Like other dive watches, it has a diver's extension which can be adjusted on-the-fly. I like the brushed stainless steel bracelet which locks and unlocks with a snap-on and snap-off clasp. The clasp on my watch is a bit tight and takes more than a gentle tug to open. For added security against accidental loosening, there is a fold-over secondary clasp with engraved TAG Heuer name. The watch has decent heft and is comfortable to wear all day. This timepiece has the hallmark of fine Swiss craftsmanship and materials; however, the area where the main clasp frequently contacts a rough surface when the watch is worn on wrist can accumulate tiny superficial scratches. The stainless steel grade is 316L commonly used in jewelry and known also as surgical steel. It has lower carbon content and higher percentage of chromium, thus making it less likely to oxidize and corrode. But this grade of stainless steel is prone to scratches and scuff marks which should be able to be buffed out as a DIY project or at a watch service center. Note that Amazon is not an official TAG Heuer authorized dealer. If purchased directly through Amazon and not one of its vendors, the watch will almost assuredly be an authentic brand-new TAG Heuer watch. However, the 2-year international warranty that ordinarily accompanies a watch purchase from a TAG Heuer AD has been replaced by a 2-year warranty from Amazon with watch repair via a 3rd party watch repairer, Asurion Consumer Solutions. Buying an expensive watch online from an unauthorized dealer which subsequently voids the manufacturer's warranty is a bit of a gamble, but a decision only you can decide for yourself. Similar to TAG Heuer's warranty, Amazon's warranty covers manufacturing defects with internal moving parts, crystal, case, crown and stem. The main difference will be the level of expertise in repair if the watch fails within 2 years of original purchase date. In summary, I find this TAG Heuer Aquaracer 300M a gem with some minor flaws but one which I can still highly recommend. ... show more

  • I really liked the look of this watch and purchased maybe 6 ...
I really liked the look of this watch and purchased maybe 6 years ago. It was my first "nice" watch. I don't think I would recommend purchasing it though. After the first few years, I began having trouble with the crown. It never felt like it would screw down properly and would be tight to operate if I had to change the date or hand wind it. Finally, I sent it in to Tag and the watch was gone for 3 months being repaired and was very expensive relative to the price of the watch. It needed a new crown tube and crown apparently. I also had it serviced at that time. It came back running well and I was happy. That didn't last long. Not 18 months after I got it back, the crown started behaving weirdly again. Hard to screw down etc etc. The crown will no longer screw in now. Now the watch is just collecting dust because I don't want to send it off again for another obscene bill. I did some research and I guess the crown tube is a known weakness on these aquaracer models. I wish I had known. ... show more

  • Simply a Beauty of a Watch; beware of scratches
Just bought recently; was my first ever High-End watch purchase. Photo does not do watch justice. The Blue is simply captivating and the Silver-colored band Realy stands out and is very shiny. Looks REALLY great on the wrist. Good size and weight. However, much like the other TAG I bought, the darn thing seems to Scratch VERY easily?! I simply dont get it. Can someone help me here? If I spend +$1000 on a watch, that boasts of High Performance and has the TAG reputation, why is it the watch can be used in such extremes, but is SO open to simply Scratching so easily (I only wear it at my desk job; I am not even Scuba diving or using for sport yet, I am afraid to do so now). Sorry, performance is one thing, but if my watch looks scratched up, why wear it. I have to say, however, as the band is so shiny, the scratches do not appear overly pronounced yet; still, I paid good money for this watch, just dont get how these elite watch makers did not figure out how to use materials/techniques to lead to a more durable watch. Thank you, ... show more

  • Do not buy this watch from this vendor!!!!
I am not very happy with this watch and vendor. My husband had for only 2 months and it is not keeping the time and keeps stopping. Not a good quality product. I fear this is a second and should not be marketed as a first quality. It is already sent in for repair after 2 months and I have not heard anything about the watch. I am VERYDISSAPOINTED in this watch and vendor. I wish I spent a few hundred more and bought from a Major department store or Tag Heuer themselves. I saved for a year and this was a 30th Anniversary present to my husband and it was a big dud! ... show more
