  • Quiet, good value, and powerful enough for most.
While the Flux S maxes out at 1500 Watts in a sprint, and simulating a 10% gradient for a 165 lb rider, that is plenty for most cyclists seeking to maintain or improve fitness over the winter. Having used a wheel on trainer previously (which tends to howl a bit above about 16 MPH and scream like a banshee at 20), I was truly shocked at how quiet the Flux S is (that fact that its "bigger siblings" the Flux 2 and the Neo are supposed to be quieter still is amazing). My fan, my breathing, and the chain running through the cogs are each louder than the Flux S trainer! Well worth the price of admission. I will say that I prefer RGT to the Tacx training software (http://www.rgtcycling.com) for its realism and flexibility (being able to add your own routes and training plans is excellent). Still, the free trial of both Tacx and Zwift is a nice touch. ... show more

  • Don't you think you should say so?!?
I was happy to find this trainer at a reasonable price and from the photos for the listing, it APPEARS to be ready out-of-the-box. However, and I learned this after receiving, IF you happen to scroll down and read the ENTIRE listing, including questions asked & answered, you'll find out a cassette IS NOT INCLUDED! Highly irritating, but of course fixable...for $60-100 additional. PLEASE SAY SOMETHING AT THE TOP OF THE LISTING about needing to buy this component - the trainer needs it in order to be functional. Update on actual functioning forthcoming...AFTER I obtain proper pieces. Thanks. ... show more

  • Great trainer, some annoying QA or smaller parts issues
This trainer is pretty awesome. Reasonable price for direct drive, roadfeel is solid. One pretty huge complaint though: one month after use I started to develop a squeak on the belt. Opening it up seems to reveal some slippage. A tiny bit of water helps with it, but without taking action the noise becomes unbearable. I may reluctantly replace it with warranty, I'm just afraid it won't stop happening as it's a common problem. Garmin test your dang parts! ... show more

  • Great trainer, mediocre seller
My trainer was delivered to another apartment and signed with another name. When I asked Amazon what to de, they send me to the seller to resolve the situation, and that is when things turn to sour. Lucky for me, next morning my neighbor knock on my door, explaining to me that FedEx drop that on his apartment but it is too heavy for him to carry upstairs. It does paid off to be nice to everybody! The trainer is great and when paired with Zwift, you get one heck of a workout. If you can bike 20 miles on this, you will blast 30 miles on the road. GET IT! but from another seller! ... show more

  • Great product
This is my firs smart trainer. I am happy with it. My first ride was great, it was easy to synchronize with the tacx trainning app. I am looking forward to many more rides.

  • Not a Wahoo Kickr
I have a Wahoo Kickr and bought this for my wife. Although the Flux is quieter, it’s not as accurate. This makes sense for the lower cost, but the power range is much worse on the Flux. I can leave my kickr in the same gear and fluctuate power from 50 to really high. In the Flux, my wife basically has to switch down to grinding gears to get below 100 watts. Not a huge fan of this. ... show more

  • Amazing product, works seamlessly with Zwift
I love everything about this trainer, it’s almost more fun than riding outside! I had to buy a cassette separately and had my local bike shop put it on, but that’s all I needed help with. Zwift works great with the trainer. So far no issues at all.

  • Very happy with this trainer
The Tacx Flux S works as specified by Garmin. It lacks some of the functionality that the higher end Neo2 has, but it is a good trade off for the price differential. The max 1500 watt is good enough for me, though the max 10% incline can be an issue if you you are going to Zwift at 100% Trainer Difficulty (again, not an issue for me). ... show more
