  • I like it, but the negative reviews are correct so read those before deciding
Size: Table-Mate II Color: Black
So far this TV tray is what I expected. I like it and am happy I bought it. That being said, some of the other reviews are right. It's not solid like a rock stable, but it is very light and so I wasn't expecting it to be that way. Mine sits flat on the ground and the bar holding the tray does lock into place. Raising it up and down involves pinching to compress both sides of the pins in in the holes in each leg and this may be difficult for an elderly person or someone with physical limitations. This table can be stored flat but that involves partially disassembling it, so I wouldn't say that storing it flat is at all a feature of this item. The cup holder slides in and out under the tray but it is too small for some of our cups and it's flimsy to the point where I'm not sure I'd trust it told hold my drink. I bought this for my son to take out to our porch to do homework on. I needed something light and small so that I can easily move it in and out of the garage/house everyday. I like how it can be raised and lowered or tilted. The tray itself is large enough for textbooks and other school work. The top is not smooth enough for writing on directly, so we need something under the paper to write on. The reason I chose this model with the curved legs rather than a tray with crossed legs is that I thought we'd accidentally kick this one less. So far I'm glad I got this one, but read the negative reviews as well so you can make a good decision based on your individual needs. ... show more

  • Works really well
Size: Table-Mate II Color: Mocha
I bought one probably over a year ago my husband watched as I used it everyday for various reasons and decided he wanted one as well, it is sturdy enough but I wouldn't put some really heavy on it, because it does collapse, but for what we use it for, like meals, holding remotes, tablets and computers it does work well enough. ... show more

  • Good little table (just a little wobbly)
Size: Table-Mate II Color: Black
Super easy to assemble and fold up for storage. The lip around the table prevent things from rolling or falling off. It's not very sturdy, and is actually a little bit wobbly. But it's a good little table for small projects while sitting at the couch. It slides around easy and comfortably.

  • sturdy portable desk for tech travelers
Size: Table-Mate II Color: Silver
I mainly use this folding table tray as a portable computer desk when I am away from home such as in hotel or outdoor setting (campground). My laptop is big (16") and heavy and the desk is a must for me to be productive with extended use. While I am at home, I use the tray in the living room to watch TV while using my computer. Sometimes use the tray to hold snacks. This table tray is well design and fold into a easy transportable flat structure and take up minimal space in the car. The tray legs to table top locking mechanism is very sturdy and will not come lose during use. Unlock is easy and require little bit of pull. I am happy with the well design and functional use of the tray. I already used it few times to work entire week at my in-law basement using this tray. My only wish is if the table is wider to have space for my mouse (note my laptop is 16" in, so smaller laptop should be fine. Pro: - well design, portable, sturdy, backup table for remote work - in unfold position, legs are securely locked and will not collapse (unlike those wooden folding table) - can be use in outdoor - surface easy to clean - table leg can slides under sofa to minimize space/put away while not in use in fold-up position Cons: - table surface not wide enough to hold 16" laptop and mouse - side plastic cup holder is a bit small, not really functional - in the folding position, the legs can swing out - table surface may bend slightly if too much weight is apply at one spot overtime (e.g. weight of hand on mouse on right side) ... show more

  • Not the most stable, folding away is a pain
Size: Table-Mate II Color: Black
Let me preface all of this by saying: if this product was only $25, it would be absolutely 5 stars in my book. I’m only rating it low because I expected more at this price point. For the money, I was expecting a more sturdy table, especially when fully setup and in a flat position. It’s sturdy enough to work for my purposes (keeping a keyboard and mouse handy while mostly gaming with an Xbox controller), but it’s very easy to make it wobble. It wobbles every time I move my mouse, no matter how gently, and I imagine it would do the same if you were to type anything on the keyboard. I would find this wobble extremely frustrating if I was actually using this for work or school purposes. I also couldn’t imagine using it as a TV dinner tray, as the table would likely sway with you every time you use your knife to cut through something. It’s also a little annoying that it doesn’t easily collapse and set back up; it’s a fairly involved process. You have to manually adjust and set each leg into the folded position by lining up the little push-pegs with the corresponding hole, which as someone who’s only done it a couple times I can tell you it’s not quick or intuitive. Once fully collapsed it does take up about half the space of a traditional wooden TV dinner stand, but it also takes about 10x the effort to collapse, and just as much effort to set back up. You’re practically disassembling and reassembling it every time. With it being such an involved process to stow away/set up, they might as well have included a removable cross-bar for the legs so that this thing might actually be sturdy. My only other complaint is one that I can’t really blame on the product, because I failed to measure my keyboard and mouse before buying this. But it’s still a bit disappointing that my relatively compact keyboard takes up the entire width of the tray. Thankfully, there’s room for the mouse underneath, so it won’t be a big bother for me since I’ll be using an Xbox controller the majority of the time. Long story short: If you want a sturdy tray that you can use for dedicated mouse and keyboard gaming, or for work/school, or even for eating, you may want to look elsewhere. I’m sure there’s something wider and more sturdy that you could find for the nearly $50 this cheap tray costs ... show more
