Ok this took me a few hours to put together but I did it in bouts of 1 hour here 1 hour there, I’d guess about 3-4 hours total. The material is mainly particle board except the 4 legs are solid wood, the back & bottom of shelves are thin compressed material but I was pleasantly surprised at the bottom of the drawer having a middle support beam to prevent the thin material from sagging over time (like my IKEA dresser drawers did but it is after 5 years). I did need my husband to help me flip it from side position to upright as it is heavy once put together. I only had one small scratch on the top that rubbed off the false wood overlay. Te packing was good as my box was damaged in a few spots w/ ruptured cardboard but the parts were fine. The parts were all labeled well except 2 the number fell off. The holes aligned well. I was disappointed I couldn’t use power tools to screw it together due to the partial board it would strip out the screw and wood if used so that is what takes the longest is all the hand screwing. I’m happy w/ the product for the price. The directions are just photos w/ numbered parts in it so I did have to take my time to look at a few pieces to make sure the correct side was where it needed to be. I only had to redo 2 things (I put upside down so had to unscrew to flip part) so I think that was good. ... show more

    • Very disappointing
This looks like a very cheap piece of furniture in person. A vision of plywood with wood printed paper on top. Tiny drawers that would be adequate storage for doll clothing. And the drawers open with the smoothness of a car driving over cobblestones. Perfect if the price point were around $50.

Don't typically like the pressboard products, these are pretty decent. Instructions easy to follow units are sturdy once put together

I love the look of this dresser. I was shopping for a while trying to find something like this. It was a little more than I wanted to spend, but I just loved it. My son put it together for me and it took him quite a while. (maybe 3 hrs,) I think I could have done it myself, but it probably would have taken me all day. It seems very sturdy. This dresser is pretty, but it’s a PAIN to assemble and almost cannot be done with one person. My drawers faces don’t align causing some not to close. I bought this bedroom set for my five year old son and I think it’s perfect for a kid. It would be way too short for an adult and the drawers wouldn’t be deep enough for adult clothing. I was a little skeptical because of the reviews but went ahead and gave it a shot. It does take a bit of time to put together but that is mainly because it is piece by piece. You have to do it all because nothing was already together. I gave it four stars because of how long it takes to assemble. Also, the knobs on the front of the drawers are two separate pieces so getting them straight while tightening them was almost impossible. I lost my patience to do it because that was the last thing I did. I’ll have to come back to that or buy different ones. ... show more
