Top Amazon Reviews

🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The SZHLUX Light is generally well-reviewed for its ease of installation, good results with plants, and affordability in comparison to higher-end models. However, repeated critiques note disappointment with the light's advertised power—some users utilizing PAR meters found the power output notably lower than claimed. Light packing is also criticized for being less than ideal, but most users didn't record damage to the light. The energy consumption seemed to be a concern for a few users as well.

Pros

  • 🏡 Easy installation
  • 🌱 Positive impact on plants
  • 💰 Affordable compared to high-end lights

Cons

  • 🔌 Lower power output than advertised
  • 📦 Packaging could be improved
  • ⚡ Higher than expected energy consumption

Should I Buy It?

Considering its value for money, ease of installation, and positive effects on plants, the SZHLUX Light is a decent buy for entry-level growers. However, those seeking power efficiency and absolute accuracy in output as advertised may want to explore other options. So the verdict would ultimately hinge upon your specific farming needs and energy concerns.

  • Excellent seedling light and Flawless customer service, A+ experience, definitely recommended!
Wattage: 400 Watts
With 6 bars running approximately 33w each, this 200w light has been an excellent addition to my grow. I use it for seedlings and have the 600w version of their light I use for veg in my 4x4. I've never had an issue with the big light so I'm very happy to welcome in this smaller light to the family. One big advantage this light has for me as a seedling light is that it's not a dimmer system, it's a dual-switch setup. What's more, the first switch lights only the middle two bars and the second lights the remaining four. That guarantees me that at any point I can utilize this light at approximately 66,130 or 200 watts (I've rounded the numbers for simplicity's sake). Great for clones, seedlings or even cranked up to start into veg if you're needing a little extra time before you can move them. It's really a great light. One other point I wanted to make is that the customer service with this company is truly excellent. I had an issue with an item that was 100% entirely Amazon's fault and had nothing to do with anyone at SZHLUX, but they still took the time to communicate with me, pass on issues to the appropriate department and make certain that I was entirely satisfied with the experience. Nicole was amazing, friendly and quick to reply to any of my questions. In this day an age, truly good customer service is difficult to find and you sincerely cannot have a better one than I had with them. I very genuinely recommend putting your business into their hands, they won't let you down :) ... show more

  • Best bang for the buck LEDs on Amazon
Wattage: 400 Watts
If you're looking for watts/$ and reasonably high efficiency (advertised @ 2.7umol/J) these are definitely the way to go. I would not recommend using them for a 6x6 area, I run four in a 6' 7" x 6' 7" tent with CO2 so roughly a square meter per light and I've got no problems hitting the relatively high PAR levels I aim for. As long as they stay affordable I'll be coming back for more as I plan on sizing up to a 10' x 10' tent soon. The best use of these lights is to couple them with the single 70W bars sold by the same company. A single "4000W" (actually 400W) up top and a 70W on each corner for side lighting and I've had no trouble hitting 4 grams per watt in a square meter with my heavier yielding strains using RDWC. ... show more

  • Did not even last a year.
Wattage: 400 Watts
When I first got it seemed to work fine but it did not even last a full year waste of money. My suggestion is if you order these you pay the extra 25 bucks for the 3 year warranty. I don't even know if that would help you. But in my opinion, these lights are junk. Amazon NS products have started Becoming a joke thinking about deleting my Amazon account. I spend too much money here to get this kind of b. S customer service. ... show more

  • Good light, but not as good as advertised.
Wattage: 600.0 Watts
The light came fully assembled, I just had to attach the hanging wires and the hangers. Super fast and easy to install. Definitely a bright and pretty good quality light, no mechanical issues or problems. Some light scratches that they clearly used a black marker to try to hide, but just made the scratches more noticeable. But the main deceiving thing is the PAR readings. They claim over 1000PAR at 39" and over 2000PAR at like 18". That's nowhere even close. Using my meter, at 40" I was only getting 250 - 400PAR. If you lower the light to around 12" then I was getting 1200 - 1400 PAR. Other than the blatant deception of the power of the light, it's a decent entry level light compared to the 500$ to 1000$+ you'll spend for the higher end lights. After the hassle I had with delivery, supposed to be a next day delivery with my prime account, ended up taking a week, and Amazon wasn't able to help at all, I'm not about to try to return it. I honestly think that they truly think that their customers who are trying to get a decent light for a decent price, won't have a PAR meter to check the actual readings. All in all, if you can afford a high end light, most certainly do it, if not, then this light will work. If anything goes wrong with the light, I'll update. ... show more

  • Super ultra bright!
Wattage: 400 Watts
At 1st I was not real sure what I would get. I purchased it b4 reading reviews. But I now am more than happy and satisfied. So bright and covers the area that was described, very well. As long as the delivery people are careful because it is on the fragile side. But most lights break when dropped anyway. Solution, dont drop the light. The mail man well?,.. thats 50/50. Well worth the money. And would buy again. ... show more

Wattage: 400 Watts
I bought this light in June of 2021, it is now Nov of 2023. I'm just now going to replace the light due to the diodes starting to dim and produce less. But I've ran this non stop for 2 and a half years , so for the price I'd say I got my money worth forsure. Just ordered the new 5000. Can't wait to try it. ... show more
