  • Excellent solution for Hockey enthusiasts
Size: 6 Tiles - 30 sq.ft
I recently purchased the ACE HOCKEY Synthetic Ice Tiles, and I must say they have exceeded my expectations as a dryland hockey training platform. Whether you're looking to improve your shooting accuracy, skating technique, passing skills, or stickhandling abilities, these tiles offer a versatile solution that simulates the feel of real ice. One of the standout features is the skatability of these tiles. The surface provides a smooth glide that closely mimics the experience of skating on traditional ice. This is crucial for hockey players who want to maintain and enhance their skills during the off-season or in areas where access to a rink is limited. The consistent and controlled slide allows for realistic maneuvers and helps players focus on refining their techniques. Durability is another commendable aspect of the ACE HOCKEY Synthetic Ice Tiles. The material used is robust and can withstand the rigors of intense training sessions. I've found that it holds up well to regular use, including the impact of pucks and constant movement, making it a long-lasting investment for anyone serious about their hockey development. The double-sided design adds to the versatility of these tiles. It allows users to alternate between different surface textures, catering to various training needs. Whether you're working on your slap shot or practicing quick turns, having the option to switch sides provides a well-rounded training experience. Setting up the tiles is a breeze, and they interlock securely to create a stable training platform. The modular design also allows for easy expansion, giving users the flexibility to customize the size of their training area based on available space and specific training goals. While the initial investment may seem substantial, the ACE HOCKEY Synthetic Ice Tiles offer a cost-effective alternative to frequent rink visits. The convenience of having a dedicated training space at home is invaluable, especially for those committed to honing their hockey skills. In conclusion, I highly recommend the ACE HOCKEY Synthetic Ice Tiles to hockey enthusiasts looking for an effective dryland training solution. From the realistic skating experience to the durable construction and versatile design, these tiles provide an excellent platform for players of all levels to elevate their game. ... show more

  • Works
Size: 6 Tiles - 30 sq.ft
My driveway is older concrete and when I tried using the tiles, the imperfections and bumps in the concrete prevent the tiles from seamlessly joining, making it difficult to really get full use out of them. I think you really need to have a smooth garage floor or blacktop area to use these to their full potential. My son and daughter wanted to try their ice skates out on them, but with the unevenness it wouldn't work that great. Even with those issues, the tiles do work for us to do some stick handling. I may try to put a tarp down on the ground and then place the tiles on top to see if that helps on the concrete, so fingers crossed. ... show more

  • Ace Hockey's Skatable Hockey Tiles: A Solid Investment
Size: 3 Tiles - 15 sq.ft
The media could not be loaded. I recently acquired Ace Hockey's skatable hockey tiles, and I'm genuinely satisfied with my purchase. The tiles offer a commendable level of slipperiness, enhancing the overall skating experience. The quality is apparent, and they seem durable for long-term use. While the tiles aren't flawless, they provide great value for the price. Nothing compares to real ice but I was able to skate with ease .Overall, a solid investment for hockey enthusiasts looking to bring the rink experience home ... show more

  • You need a ton to make it worthwhile and the feel is DIFFERENT
Size: 2 Tiles - 10 sq.ft
Everyone in my house (4 of us, ages 8, 13, 43, and 45) plays hockey at one level or another and the nearest rink is 30 minutes away. We bought these tiles in hopes we could get some work in without an hour long round trip to the rink. Well, first off you need A LOT of these to have any meaningful skating area. I have 12 total and only my 8 y/o gets to really use it as a skating platform. The rest of us use it with our skates to keep the feel of being just like the ice (height and feel of skates, normal stick, etc.). My son can skate around on the covered area a little, but he's getting no real speed and just skates short stickhandling drills. The one benefit we have found is we can have him gear up fully in his goalie gear, with skates, and put in work without fear of tearing up his gear on the concrete! This has been the greatest benefit of our purchase. Another thing to know is that these tiles do not act/feel like ice. Your skates must be freshly sharpened or you may have a "stepping onto the ice with skate guard on your blade moment"! I have gone out on these with skates needing a fresh cut to work on some shooting and my feet slid right out shot after shot! These tiles will also dull your blades much quicker than ice. We have a Sparx , so not a huge deal for us, but if you're not as lucky (or as our friends say, rich) as us you will need a fresh cut before the next time on the ice. Long story short, if you have a Sparx and $7500 you can have a decent experience, but it still won't fully replicate real ice. ... show more

  • Great tiles for stick handling and puck control
Size: 6 Tiles - 30 sq.ft
The media could not be loaded. I like the size , large surface tiles, Puck slides very well, making it ideal for practicing your shots and passing. Great for stickhandling drills, You can skate on these tiles, which is a nice feature for working on your stick skills , I would recommend purchasing a larger platform if you have the space for it, as the tiles can feel a bit limited for certain drills and maneuvers. Best part is they are usable on both sides , great upgrade !j ... show more
