This device is not compatible with Shopify, don't waste your time. And it doesn't come with a sim card either. Amazon customer services can support you with setting up the device. Amazon will direct you to the seller and they take forever to respond.

I've reviewed over 15 2D barcode scanners in the past year. I've reviewed large pistol-shaped ones down to quite small ones, like this scanner. Among all of the scanners I've reviewed, this one ranks in the class just below a couple of more fully featured ones. It has some very nice features, but there's one in particular that's missing that would be really handy. (More below.) I actually use the scanners I've reviewed at a good sized kayaking race to check people in and out. We need four to five to conduct the event, and this one will be among that select group that gets used. This scanner works as you would expect it to. I've successfully scanned both one and 2d barcodes, on paper and on a computer monitor. I've had them transmitted immediately to an editor open on a PC. and I've had them stored, with later successful transmission into the same editor. Stored codes are retained until I explicitly delete them. I've had them transmitted with and without timestamps as a prefix. What I like about this scanner is: 1) Its small size, 2) its ability to store and later transmit what it's scanned without erasing the transmitted data until I tell it to, 3) its display screen (unusual), and 4) its ability to timestamp barcodes when they're read (very handy for timed events) Beware, the fonts on the display screen and in the manual are pretty small. If you're over 40, bring your reading glasses. The display screen is very handy for confirming that you successfully scanned a barcode, and for keeping an eye on battery level.. (Vibration and a beep are also provided, but there's nothing quite like confirming visually.) The feature I wish this scanner had is the ability to change settings in the scanner, without having to scan barcodes in a manual. I have a similar-sized scanner that can do this, so I know it's possible. Having to bring the manual along to an event away from home can be an annoyance. Misplacing or losing the manual can be a major annoyance. For $10 more you can get this on-board settings feature in a similar-sized scanner. So, for the most part this scanner is very useful. Its size and display are real plusses. If you don't mind needing the paper manual to support switching modes, then this scanner is a good option. ... show more

Roughly the size and shape of a small candy bar, or just larger than a pack of gum, this versatile barcode reader is impressively light, easily carried, and deployed. This kit includes a USB-A-to-USB-C cable (for charging the reader and communicating via USB) and a 2.4Ghz USB dongle. In addition to the USB-HID and dongle interface, the reader supports communication via bluetooth (HID, SPP, or BLE). One can change the Bluetooth device name. For expedience, I used the bluetooth HID interface while testing the reader. For longer-term use, I'm inclined to use the BLE interface but that'll take a bit more effort to deploy and integrate. The reader can be configured to either immediately transmit scanned barcode data to the host or store scanned barcode data, transmitting to the host only when commanded. In storage mode, the reader retains stored data until commanded to delete it. (It isn't automatically deleted upon transmission.) This reader has a small OLED screen which displays various status indicators as well as the payload of the most recently decoded symbol. Although the screen is eye-squintingly small, it's quite useful nonetheless. A small button near the screen wakes the device (if sleeping) or triggers scanning (if already awake). This small, lightweight devices just begs to be carried in a pocket. When doing so, I found that the small button was frequently pressed inadvertently, triggering the device. At this point, my plan is to design/3D print a small holster/cover/guard to mitigate the problem. This barcode reader features numerous configuration options, each set by scanning a barcode. As seems common with consumer barcode readers, there appears to be no way to protect the reader against rogue (malicious or accidental) reconfiguration. It's a good barcode scanner, and I like that I can see the codes on a nice screen. However, I misplaced my user manual and am unable to configure the unit. It works for now, but make sure not to lose your user manual! My biggest complaint is that the button is way too sensitive! When I put it in my bag, the power button always gets pressed and it makes the turning on sound, then later, the turning off sound. ... show more
