Bought to replace low beam bulb on 2007 Volkswagen Jetta (uses the same H7 bulb for both high beam and low beam). Install was simple (though obviously this will depend on your make/model more than the bulb itself). Make sure you don’t touch the bulb with your fingers during installation as this can shorten the life of the bulb. I’ve used Sylvania bulbs pretty much exclusively when replacing lights on any of my or my family’s vehicles and the quality is always great. The light output on these is better than stock, but slightly less than Sylvania Silverstar bulbs (usually my normal purchase). However, for the price difference, I’m not sure if the Silverstar’s are worth it. The color is a nice white with a hint of blue which I think looks nicer than the more standard tint that seems to lean more towards yellow. ... show more

I've had to change them so many times I've gotten as fast as an Indy pit crew member changing these things. Installed these a couple of weeks ago. They are a lot brighter than the factory ones for sure. Can't comment on durability/longevity at this time because it's only 2 weeks in. But appears they have laster longer than others here who have purchased these, so I guess that's a good thing. Installed these on a 2012 Fusion, fwiw. The removal wasn't too bad but putting them back in was a bear. I have large hands and it was simply too cramped. Had to use an angled pair of needle nose pliers to get the light base lined up and pressed back into place. ... show more

I drive a 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander. This vehicle has an electrical design flaw in that if you are even slightly bumped in the rear the headlights will go, one-after-the-other, within days. I purchased these as my third set of replacements after being rear-ended causing major damage (and the loss of both headlights), and not long after being slightly tapped by a careless driver whose foot slipped off her brake at a stop sign. The second event caused no visible damage, but the left, then the right headlight went out within a few days. I had ordered these from Amazon after the first incident because a web search revealed that this is a design problem with my year/make/model vehicle. After I installed them the lights were considerably brighter than the original that came with the car and the OEM replacement bulbs used after the first incident. I use my headlights in all driving conditions and so far no issuse. I am prepared for an inevitable outage though, but I blame Mitsubishi for that, not Sylvania. Bottom line: if you are replacing OEM bulbs this set is far superior with respect to lighting. ... show more

My 2009 BMW 328i has auto light settings, and that's what I use. Set it and forget it. I drive my car a lot, easily 10+ hours per week, and I have replaced a headlight (one at a time, only on failure) 3 times, always using these bulbs. It seems these lights last about 4 years. And that's good, because replacing these in my car is a real pain in the keester. A BMW issue, not Sylvania's. Through Amazon, these bulbs are half the price that they are at the big box and automotive stores. For a few bucks extra I got next day delivery. Definitely a good value. ... show more

You must be willing to learn how to install it. Mechanically it is simple, you have to go through the wheel well and work with enclosures distinct to Subaru. Also, be sure to get the bulb for your specific vehicle and the specific light that is out in your headlight enclosure (some have three); the base design on the bulb matters. ... show more
