    • Neat Toy with Opening Clam and Swimming Ariel
My kids haven't had a chance to use this in a pool yet, but it works well in their bathtub. The packaging says that it's water activated, which doesn't seem right. I think the clam opens once the bottom is bumped. Then, when Ariel is oriented correctly, she will come out head first and will swim to the top while spinning, due to the shape of her fins. It works great almost every time. My kids really get a kick out of it, and it's cool to have a place to store Ariel in the clam when not in use. Definitely Recommend. ... show more

    • Fun and easy for preschoolers
The price point makes me cringe a little, but this is otherwise a good toy. My two year old and five year old could both operate it with varying degrees of ease. It takes about 8 seconds to sink to the bottom of a 4ft pool. When it touches the bottom the shell opens and Ariel spins up thanks to the shape of her tail fins. Sometimes the shell doesn’t close quite right and opens early. My kids loved this, and used it both like a diving toy and for pretend play. This is a great item for helping children get comfortable and acclimated with the pool. I was able to get one of my Children in the pool for quite a long time with this particular item. It was very interactive and also worked very well The items sink and water, and then coming back up to the surface, very cute. I really liked that. It is a very bright color so it doesn’t get lost under the water and I would say it’s a very giftable item as well! My child now even uses it in the bath, they love it!     • Great for tots to put their face in the water
This is a great toy. It's fun for the divers, but its also fun for the toddlers to watch Ariel come out. The kids always want to guess when the shell will open. The little kids are even getting braver with their goggles. This is definitely more unique than most diving toys.

I love that it is the cartoon version of Ariel. This is a cute idea, hopefully it works better in the pool, we have not tried it there yet. We have put it in the bath tub and it is okay. It takes a bit for it to submerge in water then Ariel comes out. I would say it is not amazing, but the kids love it. Again I am hoping it does better in a pool. That being said it is packaged nice and would make a nice gift. ... show more
