Before purchasing this product I read thru some reviews, but not all of them. I saw a lot mentioned their newborn in the float and how much they loved it and would fall asleep, etc. Since buying I discovered the one I got was refurbished, I didn’t see that when purchasing. I have also read thru more reviews where some mention babies bottom getting wet. Wish I had seen that before purchasing, I was under the impression baby would stay completely dry unless splashed. I have used this twice with my almost 2 month old. Both times his bottom got wet and he was not happy. The first time it went up his back because the bottom valve had come undone. We are going to try again once we get him a swim suit and some swim diapers to see if that helps. He is also a bigger baby for sure he is over 11 lbs now, which could possibly be why so much water comes thru to his bottom. Blowing it up manually is not super easy, especially with the very bottom valve. It does float really well and seems very sturdy and comfortable. I purchased this float for my 3 month old. It was easy to assemble and worked well. It is not easy to deflate and I could not get it in its original packaging. When I tried to fold up the shade it bent and now the shade does not function correctly. I liked that my daughter could lay in the float without having to completely submerge her legs.
