Ok, this is my personal opinion, if you are still using a string mop, stop. The old ways of cleaning are not effective and dirty. How so? Think about what you are doing, you are constantly putting water that has been dirtied with some kind of floor cleaning chemical on the strings over and over. Then not to mention you need to wring out stringed mops, not so much the sponge ones. However, you ever notice that sponge is not as bright yellow as it used to be? Yeah cause its absorbing all the dirt. So let us look at the advantages of this. 1- No chemicals on your hands! 2- Lightweight, do not have to lift up to buckets or sinks. 3- You are not re-using the same fabric to clean. Now this is a plus and a minus. It is great to go re-usable. However, you are not throwing your mop in the washing machine. So you are not really getting it cleaned unless you go through some labor intensive steps. 4- This is simply more convenient, time is important. Works great, dries fast but the handle is way too short. I'm 5'9, and I have to stoop way down. Doing my small kitchen makes my back ache. Give it to your toddler, lol. Also, the spring pin that holds the two sections of handle together wore quickly, so now the handle twists or comes apart.
