Works wonders in my chicken coup. It keeps the coup smelling fresh and keeps it dry. I use wood chips as bedding and it keeps them dry and gets rid of any Ammonia smell that may try to accumulate in coup. I have happy healthy chickens.

    • Wow! Excellent Product
Wow!! Are you kidding me? This stuff is amazing for eliminating ammonia odors in the chicken run! I’m a rookie chicken owner—I’ve only had my 3 girls for a week now—and am just learning the ropes. I pick up droppings daily in the coop and run but because the run has no manufactured floor (it’s just dirt/ground), I know I’m not getting it all. Surely the girls are scratching it in and it all starts to look like dirt. Within 7 days, I went to greet the girls and the ammonia smell about slapped me in the face! I knew I had to do something extra to control the odor, not only for everyone’s health (both for the chickens and us humans) but we also live in a suburb neighborhood and I sure don’t want to hear complaints from the neighbors. I did my usual poop patrol and picked up what I could see. Then after the girls put themselves to bed/roost, I sprinkled this product in the run, not too heavy at first. Then I raked it into the dirt some, sprinkled another light top layer everywhere, and lastly, sprinkled a heavier layer on the spots that appeared more soiled and damp. I left it there to do its thing until morning. Woke up this morning and went to let the girls out of the coop and into the run, and the smell was GONE. NO MORE SMELL! Before I let them roam in the run, I raked in the rest of the granules into the dirt that sat on the soiled parts of the run overnight, which I don’t think I really had to do because the stuff is non-toxic and perfectly safe if ingested, but I mixed it into the dirt anyway. This is an excellent product that does what it claims and I immediately put this on my Amazon subscription list.     • I’ve been using this for years
Chickens poop smells, but this makes it smell a whole lot less. I sprinkle a little bit in their coop under pine shavings and I sprinkle some in their run once a week after a rake out. I’ll keep buying this.

    • Works great keeping odor down
Use this in my chicken coop and it helps keep the odor down. It is pricey but lasts for a long time and goes a long way as you only need to use a little handful here and there. Wish it was cheaper though.

I have been very impressed with this product and how well it works inside my coop and there nesting boxes. I have a very small flock of 4 and the boxes remain fresh for over a week and all I do is fluff the bedding until I change it the following week

I use this on the compost where I compost the chicken manure as well as in the coop. It works. If you have a sticking dog pen. I'll bet it will work there too.

This product helps coop odor, however, not as much as I thought it would. It seems you have to add a substantial amount to make a difference in your coop. And sadly, for the cost, it isn't worth it. I think spot cleaning as much as possible and diatomaceous earth help more than this product. Again, it's not awful, but the value isn't worth the cost. ... show more
