First off this review is almost entirely about the delivery. Upon getting the product set up and cleaning my house after the delivery mess - I love the chair after less than a day of use. Exactly what I was hoping for. It's not a cheap chair and correspondingly it is well made and has great materials. Now - about the delivery. I opted for the "white glove" delivery. The company who actually delivered in Central Florida is named Omega out of Orlando FL. It was the worst delivery I've ever seen. Two guys showed up with their truck. They did not have any kind of delivery cart or hand truck. They were sliding the box over the ground. Upon getting it into my condo unit I asked them if they had ever delivered a Svago chair before and the answer was no. Instead of getting out the instructions they proceeded to rip the box open and apart as if they were 3 year olds opening Christmas presents. The instructions (pic provided) specifically shows to remove the chair from the shipping box. You can see that the chair is then wrapped in plastic. Instructions also state "Put the chair on a blanket to protect the ground". Of course they did no such thing. Also instead of carefully removing the entire chair assembly with the plastic from the box, they ripped the plastic open and started tearing the blown in Styrofoam packing material instead of carefully cutting it away. I had little Styrofoam pieces EVERYWHERE. Then one of the guys had the gall to tell me that I might want to sweep this up before they moved the chair into the place where I told them to place it. I told them that this was supposed to be white glove delivery, it was their mess they made, and they should clean it up. Of course they didn't have a broom/dustpan or vacuum so I gave them a broom. They swept like, again, you'd imagine 3 year olds doing. The little small Styrofoam pieces are very light and blow around easily. Sweeping fast does nothing but cause air disturbances that blow them around the place even more and does not get them into a central location where one can sweep them into a dust pan. I couldn't get these two people out of my condo fast enough. On the way out they continued to leave large trails of Styrofoam pieces in my condo lobbies, elevator and common areas as they exited the building. I was left to clean up their mess. They couldn't have cared less. No attention to detail, no concern about their behavior and definitely not white glove. I am following up with the seller directly to express my concerns. ... show more

Update, since I wrote this review, this seller has been very diligent in exchanging my chair for the one I wanted originally. Still say this chair is not a true zero gravity, but it is beautiful and comfortable if you do not care if it does not recline as far as the other chairs by this manufacture. BUYERS BEWARE I picked this chair over the other chairs by the same manufacture because of the beautiful way it looked. This chair is not true zero gravity as the other chairs in this line are, it does not raise the feet well over the head. As a disabled person with major back issues I was so hopeful about this chair as I have tried other zero gravity chairs by the same manufacture but this one actually hurt my back and neck. It is not soft at all. When I contacted the seller and tried to return this chair, this seller told me that they were going to charge me nearly $500 and a 20% stocking fee. When I expressed to them my concern about these fees, he said that we could drop it off at his nearest warehouse, which was a few hours away to avoid the fees. As a disabled person, this would not be feasible, but even if I was capable this would require me to rent a truck and spend $100 or more in gas.     • "White glove delivery"?

I knew what I was buying when I bought the chair, it is great. What I did not want to do was put something heavy together so I opted for the "white glove" service. My review is about that "white glove service", as it is not a "white glove", or what I have experienced as a "white glove" service. They unboxed the chair outside which is nice, as they brought the chair in they lost their grip and dropped the chair and gouged one side of the wood. Assembling the stand to the chair they scratched my wood floor because they seemed to be in a hurry and would not wait for me to put floor protectors on the stand feet. I am thankful that the chair was delivered and put together in spite of the two very noticeable errors. Real "White glove" services know the steps of precaution to handling a heavy chair. Your cost for the type of delivery I received is ridiculous and you should drop the "white glove" for the service provided. Oh, yeah, charge less too! ... show more
