This s great for road trip lover who tend to spend hours driving from one state to another, which is our experience and passion. It is perfect size for our SUV to rest during the day when one is driving the other is resting and is comfortable. We also do some work online, which is great to inflate this bed and rest and be comfortable while conducting business and keep working while on the road. It is great quality and fits very well in the back area of the SUV. When on the road, we normally jus set a couple of thick blankets with pillows, which are fine but this mattress to the next level because it is easy to inflate and deflate, it is very comfortable and much thicker, and it fits much better in the back for maximum use and comfort. This air mattress is not difficult to inflate because it includes an inflator that plugs into the cigarette lighter. However, the power cord to the inflator is a little too short by a couple of feet. The inflator pumps air effectively, but it is a little noisy. The plugs to the air valves are a little awkward to reinsert, and may have contributed to the bed deflating prematurely a couple of times. The mattress is comfortable, and the top material feels good to the skin. A couple of pillows are included, but they are not very comfortable. It fit the back of my Lexus LX-470 almost perfectly. There are 6 filler ports for inflating 4 compartments and 2 pillows. It took me 25 minutes the first time I set it up, but that included figuring out how to inflate with the relatively short cigarette lighter power cord to the inflator. I was surprised by how fast the inflator was able to fill the compartments. I started out with the head of the bed at the front of the area, but soon realized that I would need to inflate the two main compartments first since their inflation ports were located at the rear and the power cord was too short. I flipped it over front to back and was able to inflate the two main compartments and then flip it front to back again so I could inflate the rest of the compartments. I tested for comfort and found they were over-inflated so I let a little air out and they were fine. I hate air beds, but this was actually tolerable! This is designed for an SUV to be used as a narrow single, wide single, or wide double mattress. There are 2 side pieces and 2 head pieces as well so even if you do get a leak there will be several other pieces that are not flat. It comes with a small air pump that connects to a cigarette lighter in your car. This makes inflation easy but not super fast. It can also be used to deflate but the large holes in the mattress get that done quite well without using the pump. A larger, faster pump could easily overinflate. It would be nice if you also had the option of plugging it into an outlet. Many campgrounds have electric and this would be more easily used as a spare bed for company. I have a couple of AC to cigarette adapters so it's not a problem for me but most folks don't have these. The bottom is "plastic" and should hold up to moisture well. The top is a soft "fabric" that is quite comfortable. It comes with a couple of inflatable pillows that are nothing to write home about but would do in a pinch. Lastly, it comes with a carry bag that should be a little larger. Once the mattress is inflated and mostly deflated it is hard to get it to fit in the bag. It doesn't take up much space, is light weight. The taps for air are across the top and bottom. They would be more out of the way on the sides. A very useful item to have if you have kids that need to sleep while you travel, if you camp often, and if you need a quick spare bed for company. ... show more

The pictures in this page make the mattress look comfortable and cozy because it is. Q: When might an SUV camping mattress be a lifesaver? A: When it is furnished to a homeless man living in a SUV with type 1 neuropathy. Our family recently took delivery on a new Rivian R1S, and we are excited about taking it out on camping trips, so were in the market for a good air mattress for the car. There are some options out there that are purpose built for the car, but they're incredibly expensive, and not particularly well reviewed enough to justify the cost. When I saw this air mattress, I decided to take a flyer on it, and generally speaking, I am happy that I did. Its easy to inflate with the included pump (though, we use the air compressor that is built into the Rivian, so we don't have to pack the pump). The fit is reasonable, but not perfect. Given that this is a general-purpose product, I am pleased with the fit. Comfort-wise? Its an air mattress. Its not going to be like sleeping in your bed at home, but for camping, its going to be very nice. We shall see how it fares over the long-haul from a durability perspective. Overall, I am happy. i have a model y and this thing fits great. its nice and soft and does what its suppose to. allows me to camp out the back of my car with comfort. the pump is kinda loud but thats expected for the price you are paying. no complaints.
