So, I had to order these Brass Standoff for my new Asus Laptop. Why? Well, the factory does supply for the center screw a plastic standoff, however when I put in one of these Brass Spacers in to my laptop, this hit the nail right on the head. The bottom casement now feels solid when I tap it with my finger nail. Yes, people you need a little metal for the different purposes like adjusting the new equipment with a Standoff. I had a computer case which used 3/8" stand-offs and the only ones I had or could get my hands on readily actually had 1/4" stand-offs. In order to complete the build in a timely fashion I ordered these and they arrived the next day. I used the 3/8" standoffs along with 1/4" standoffs with two female ends (think of it as a tall nut) to hold the standoff in place. I had to use different screws on the motherboard, but the case came with plenty. Now I use this to help out in a pinch and I know it will come in handy as I end up building about 10-12 systems a year for friends and family. ... show more

    • Great little kit for anyone with a Raspberry Pi
I got this for my various Raspberry Pis that I have around the house. Well made, and I like the case they come in. I have yet to have any of the screws or standoffs strip. Would buy again!

the green things in the middle of the picture is a relay hat. The Pi is underneath. the standoff kit provided the means to build the Pi stack which includes a strip of Formica, which is screwed to the plywood. You can see two of the black mounting screws to the right of the Pi. I have 4@ Pi's. Three of them are mounted this way. Great price for what you get. I needed a few extra standoffs after getting an electronic module that shipped with too few. The main body on these were a bit thinner in diameter than the "stock" standoffs (and a bit thinner than I have previously seen for 2.5mm size) but all the threads were correctly sized, clean, and burr free. ... show more

    • Perfect fit for Raspberry Pi and associated components
This was the second set of stand-offs I purchased - the first being a black nylon set with 3mm OD threads that were a tad to large to fit through the holes on the PCB of a Raspberry Pi and the Pi Hat I was also using in my project.     • Good but don't go too tight
Looks good, was whatbI needed for fixing Raspberry Pi HATs to my stack. Just be careful though, more than a couple ft. lb. of torque and your screw ends will shear off. Finger tight seems OK though.
