I have a 2011 Silverado, and I have heard that high-mileage vehicles can get stuck lifters. This kit removes the AFM and makes all 8 cylinders run all the time. Not for the faint of heart, but for competent mechanics this kit has everything you need.

Bought for a 2013 Silverado with lifter failure. Read the reviews and bought some extra parts not included in the kit. If you are going to include an oil pump, the cooler line gasket should be in the kit. Pan has to be removed to replace. I can understand some people reusing the oil pan gasket, but not the oil cooler seal. The timing kit does not work for VVT engines as the cam has a phazer built into the timing gear. I had to reuse my old cam sprocket and chain. Timing chain guides and tensioner were able to be used. Valve cover gaskets were really loe quality. Would not stay in the valve cover if their life depended on it. Had to use RTV to hold it in. Oil pressure sensor screen would not fit in the DOD delete plate. Had to run the sensor with no screen. Exhaust manifold bolts should be included in the kit as 90 percent of these engines need them. That being said, put it all together and the engine runs amazing. Oil pressure is not as high as I would have expected with a "high flow, high volume" oil pump. Cam seemed pretty high quality, the rest of the parts are what one would expect from China. Used this kit recently to build a ls 5.3 engine. Over all not bad but. It doesn't come with pushrods, which seems odd with all the top end parts your putting in, why not push rods. Also this kit is supposed to be a complete dod-afm delete, comes with a cam, cam gear, timing chain and crank gear but sadly no cam bolt. Makes no sense at all. Lastly, the oil pump is very inferior and I could not get it to shim and align correctly causing me to have to buy a completely new oil pump as I didn't trust the one in this kit. Right in the trash it went.. Things like this cause un needed down time and cost extra money. Buyer beware.. ... show more

I compared lots of kits before I selected this one. I choose it because of price it was the cheapest. I have never done a DOD delete before. I have replaced several camshafts, lifters, rebuild engines, and transmissions, but did not modify from stock. This kit did not come with a cam shaft bolt so I sent them a picture with the Cam Position Actuator and their stock Cam Gear with the Cam Position Actuator Solenoid Valve Bolt will not work with their Gear, so it needs a regular Cam Bolt in the Kit or purchased. I also had to use HP Tuners to program the ECM and TCM as it no longer has DOD and VVT. I would up load a video of it running but it is too large, so the last two pictures are the mileage installed Jan 10th 2024 and July 19th 2024. Also bought a different timing cover. It would be nice to include an oil pan gasket and should include exhaust manifold to cylinder head bolts. Anyways the kit works I have had no issues. I waited 6 months to review this to see any problems. I work from home, don't drive much, and have a second vehicle getting ready for my kid to drive. ... show more

This kit came with a used oil pump that was messed up!! Nowhere in the description says parts maybe used. Then the 30 days had passed before we got the kit put in and seen it was bad so we had to go buy a new one after spending almost $700
