These Susan Bates hooks are my go to inline crochet hooks. I wished they had more colors. I love the in line hooks because they’re so easy to use and less prone to having the yarn slip off the hooks as with the rounded hooks. The padded handles are a plus as I enjoy the feeling of having a little bulk to the grip as I crochet fast. I’m sure there’s an ergonomic benefit from that as well. I am never disappointed by the quality of the hooks and for the number of hooks in the pack, I believe it is a good value. The pack comes with three of the most commonly used sizes of crochet hooks (at least for me) and the handles have a rubberized grip that keeps them from slipping out of your fingers. Susan Bates crochet hooks are the only ones I will use. I'm trying to match a gauge for a new project, and after trying my H, I, and J hooks, it was still a bit small. Of course, out of all the sets of hooks I've accumulated, all my K hooks have wandered off somewhere, or else The Borrowers have taken them. (Aging myself a bit here) I can't find these flat hooks locally, so was thrilled to find them here. The ergonomic handles don't help much, as I have small hands, and the cushion is too far down the handle for me. The heads, although the 'same size', seem to me a smidge larger. Perhaps the design? The sample I crocheted with the J hook in this set is the correct gauge for my project. Go figure. I love the hooks, though, and definitely recommend them. ... show more
