    • Easy install, bright.
This is great! We have been replacing all the light fixtures throughout our home, and this one has some nice features. It was a really easy install, and had the old one down and this one up and working in minutes. It is over by my coffee bar, where we had an igly little globe light that used incandescent style bulbs, and wasn't very bright. This is a huge improvement, not only aesthetically, but functionally, as well. I love the nightlight option...it gives the perfect amount of light in that location to use in the late night hours and early morning, without using full power brightness. I love the glow it offers. I actually will probably be using that option the most. The remote is also very handy for me, as the location of that particular switch is in an awkward position, so I can leave it in the 'on' position and keep the remote at the coffee bar, in easy reach. ... show more

Not that it won’t last. Both units are just very plastic-y, lightweight and hollow. Something more robust at this price point would have gone a long way. Also, the night light is fairly bright and its a much deeper color then even the warmest light setting. It’s almost orange. Not really a fan of the color or brightness. Unfortunately there’s no way to adjust it (dim, change color, etc). It’s a nice feature to add but would’ve been better if it was customizable. As far as mounting, they included a small wire that lets you hang the light so you don’t have to hold it while wiring the connections. This is brilliant and should be on every ceiling light kit. Kudos for that. And once mounted, the light output is very good. It’s fairly bright on the highest setting (for each of the Kelvin settings). And there’s a nice range of options when dimming using the remote. I ended up going down 2 notches for brightness and it still provides more than enough light for a 5x10 ft bathroom. There’s a memory function so, it’ll return to the light setting you had before turning it off. And with regard to the remote, it’s pretty straightforward. The buttons make sense and the light responds quickly to selections. Also, if you have any additional lighting in your bathroom, the remote makes it very easy to ‘match’ the color of that fixture’s light output. One reviewer mentioned they didn’t like that the light was only controllable by remote. If something happens to the remote, you’re stuck with the last setting. That is something to take into consideration. Overall, I do like it though. It doesn’t feel like a 10-year product. Maybe 2-3 years at most. If it lasts less than that, I’ll update this. But for its price point, that seems about right. All things considered, this is a fairly good product for your consideration. ... show more

    • A perfect solution in a hallway
Like many older men, my husband gets up often during the night. The hall night light sometimes doesn't supply enough light. My husband turns on the overhead light and often forgets to turn it off on his way back. After a while, I think the sun is up, I get up and putter around until I am up for the day. I make a cup of tea, turn on the TV, discover it's 3 am, and I am AWAKE! My son and son-in-law came this weekend to install the various items I have been stockpiling until we could get help. The light was one of them. All were ladder things and hands-above-the-head things. (Both of us are handy, but we have bad shoulders and vertigo. It's time we accepted the idea that asking for help is okay.) The night light in the hall ceiling is exactly the solution for my reaction to a false dawn. The light is on dim when I fall asleep and doesn't disturb me because I fall asleep with it on. My husband stumbles to and from the bathroom safely and has no trouble falling back to sleep—because he was barely awake in the first place. I am pleased with this new sleep plan. It works well for us. The night light could be a solution for others as well. ... show more

    • For The Ceiling In Our Game Room
We ordered this light because we needed a ceiling light in our game room, and wanted a "flat" light rather than one that hangs down. This product fits that bill and is very nice, fairly easy for my husband to install, and well made. The game room is in our lower level and the ceiling is OK but not what one might call "high". In other words, we could not put a pendant light or a "drop light" that hangs down. So we ordered this light and are very pleased that it will work well. A great product indeed! ... show more
