Looks good with brown, tan or ivory furniture. Very soft. I did not purchase a pad because mostly furniture is placed on top and not a highly trafficked area. I ordered a thick pad to go under it and it’s worthless but nice think pad. The rug still is rumpled and it still doesn’t lay flat.—rumpled even over the thicker pad! The rug is very attractive but was too thin alone! Needs a heavier weight to it! This pad does not stick to the carpet where it lays between it and my rumpled area rug. Quite disappointed. I changed my review. The smaller matching runs in front of my recliners curl up. They too need more weight. Photo does not show. ... show more

Absolutely beautiful. I didn't expect it considering the price, but the colors and pattern in the green are so lovely. Very soft underfoot. I'm at the 3 day point and, like another review, mine is buckled in the middle. I have a runner that had a similar problem and never did flatten out, so I'm hoping that I won't have to return this one for another. I like enough to do so. Am considering buying an identical rug for a second home. Wondering if anyone has helpful hints for removing the fold marks. Update: I just received the fourth rug in green. Two 8 x 10, one 5 x 8 and one runner. Be patient with the wrinkles. They eventually fall out and placing something like a flat table upside down on them speeds up the process. I keep moving it until all the creases are out. Also, placing a very damp towel and lightly passing an iron over the area works well. These rugs are made in Egypt and packaged very well...no dirty ends. They are waterproof and crumbs stay on top of the surface to be vacuumed up. Love this rug, at a very attractive price. We now have six of them in our two homes. Liquids lay on the top to blot up, no staining. A great buy. ... show more

The carpet is BEAUTIFUL when viewed from one direction but has a great deal of sheen and looks completely different from the opposite direction! I am totally bummed! No one mentioned this in the reviews so it was unexpected! The paper on the tag as I unwrapped it said "Velvet" which kind of alarmed me because velvet definitely has that characteristic.....but it is so pronounced I will probably send it back unless I can figure out a way to only view it from the "Beautiful Side"!! (ha ha!!!) ... show more

This rug is exactly what I was looking for and the price was right. Seems to be good quality. I’ve already had to spot clean it once, and it held up well. The color is a little different in real life than on the Internet, but not a big deal in my situation.
