I have many lubes. This was parked on the shelf for quite awhile since we use J Lube for anal and fisting. Decided to use this again and I totally forgot how awesome this stuff is. Only complaint is the lid closure type. I did not know this stuff had a desensitizing effect and we typically avoid that. However with this gel it is a mild desensitizing effect, just right. I was wondering why it felt different when he was punch fisting me pretty aggressively. The “pop” in and out was blunted a little and it felt amazing. Six months ago I would’ve given us a five star review hands-down. It is easily some of the slickest lubricant I have found yet. However in the last six months they have major quality control issues, resulting in significant difference in how the product performs. The product previously had a screw on cap, and a tinfoil seal. Both prevented air from getting into the container both prior to opening and after you opened it. The issue here being that once this product is exposed to air it’s consistency changes significantly. Six months ago the product had a consistency of very thick maple syrup or corn syrup. You could pour it out of the container, it would take a while but it would pour out. Now because of the changes in the way the lid is installed and the lack of the tinfoil seal the product is exposed to air prior to opening and while in storage.. This results in a consistency more of a thick jelly. It will no longer pour out of the container because it’s been exposed to air, if it does come out of the container it comes out as a big blob. This result in a huge difference in how the product performs. This is also the reason for the one star review and the fact that we will no longer use this product. The poor quality control, the changes made simply to save a few dollars and the relative expensive nature of the product has caused me to cancel our subscription and we will use/find a new product. Edit; if you look at some of the other reviews you will see I am not the only one with these concerns or issues. Changes could be very easily made at the production facility to fix these issues. You can see the differences in the product in the picture. These differences are because it was exposed to air since it’s left the factory because there’s no tinfoil seal, the lid doesn’t seal once it’s open and quite honestly it doesn’t seal even from the factory. ... show more

    • Pretty Good but One Major Issue Making it Unusable

I've been searching for years for "the perfect lube". This lube seemed vety promising. I liked the thick consistency and I liked the ease of clean up with simple water and soap vs silicone lubes. It lasts longer then most water based lubes, but nothing like silicone, and it does get "sticky" as it starts to dry out. I also notice that it seems to "warm up", even though this isn't listed on the label as a feature. Some people may like this, while other's may not. I wasn't expecting that as it's not something that's stated anywhere. The biggest issue I had using this lube is that it instantly "makes me have to go". Uncomfortably so. Even after I use the bathroom, if I use it again, it does the same thing. I'm not sure why but I cannot use it. No matter how many times I've tried, as soon as it gets inside, I'm running for the bathroom. I've never experienced this with any other product, no matter the base it's made from, be it water based, oil based, silicone based, natural. There's just some chemical I this that works instantly like a laxative. My wife doesn't seem to have this issue with it, but she says it feels like "it warms up", similar to some companies products that have this as a feature.
