  • Don’t buy!
Doesn’t work. Tried 2. Android system doesn’t boot up as advertised.

  • I'm having a lot of fun with it!
* Overall, it's a nice unit. I bought it mostly for the SNES era, but it plays the next gen (N64/PSX/etc) fairly well too. It's a great price and the configuration is really well done. It's slick right out of the box, yet is easy enough to personalize. * Out of 65000 games, there's a lot of duplicates (i.e., a ROM with variants for Japan, US, Europe, etc). You've also got some games duplicated across multiple systems (such as a single title appearing in the MAME, Arcade, Final Burn and CPS emulators). I made a backup of the SD card and then started deleting dupes ... it's taking a looooong time to go through them and I'm not done yet. So far, I've deleted over 7000 roms and wouldn't be surprised if I get to 10000 when I'm done. You've still got a selection that's incredible. More than you can play in a lifetime! * Adding more ROMs is easy. You can find entire collections on the Internet Archive and elsewhere. Having another PC handy is very helpful. Pop the SD card in your PC and then you can move files into the appropriate directories easy enough. One of the reasons I've been deleting the dupes is to make room for other content I've found online and am adding to my setup. * Many of the games are in Japanese ... for many games, this isn't a problem and you can figure out what to do easily enough with a decent phone and Google Translate. * The computer games (C64, ZX, Atari ST, etc) are not consistently easy to play. Plugging a keyboard into the console doesn't really give you a keyboard in the emulators. The keyboard is treated as a controller, so you've arrow keys mapped as a d-pad, A/S/Q/W map to the X/Y/A/B buttons, Enter = Start, etc. If the game requires extensive keyboard use, you'll have to use a pop-up virtual keyboard, which can be a PITA. * There's a fan that's always on ... it's a bit loud, but it's better than having a device that overheats. I can live with it. * The included controllers are a bit flimsy, yet functional. Mixing and matching controllers (I prefer a BT Xbox controller) can be confusing because Nintendo and Sony don't agree on the layout of the X/Y/A/B buttons. ... show more
