Received it very quickly and immediately slipped it onto the Striker unit. Slid on easily, offers significant shade advantages. I must state this is "loose" in its fit, not snug at all. With no allowances given for screws it might be advisable to use some form of adhesive to keep the shade in-place. I use a unit cover for travel which precludes removal of the shade, I am considering two-sided tape or build up the unit's side areas a few mm. As it is, the shade could easily be lost when at speed on a bit of rough water. Otherwise, I would have given five stars. I would buy it again. ... show more

I'm not sure if this the solution for shading but will protect the screen. After taking my fish finder out in the sun, I didn't notice much difference with the shade on or off. I suggest dial in the contrast and briteness. 4 stars for potential use.
