Background Info: I have a queen sized bed, knowing my boyfriend lives with me, and we WRESTLE in our sleep for the blanket, I had planned on getting a king sized something. Color- 5 stars. I love the whole western look, but everything in my bedroom is cream colored, so I thought I would go for that burnt- not bright!- orange for my bed with all my cream colored throw blankets and pillows to take away from the orangey-ness of the quilt, BUT it came out great! I find myself pulling some of the cream out of the equation because the orange is nowhere near as loud as I though it was gonna be!! It actually just really warm and comforting and I want to see more of it! Sizing- 3.5-4 stars. Now this is based off of what I specifically ordered, and I am here to tell you to SIZE UP!!! I previously wanted a King sized for my Queen sized bed for multiple reasons, my boyfriend, I wanted it to cover my box spring under my mattress and fall to the headboard railings on either side of the bed, and it does, but barely. I cannot imagine what this looks like on a King because even the bottom portion fails to cover the box spring under my mattress at the foot of the bed... But I can work around that by just pulling the quilt down whenever I go to make it nice and pretty... But still, SIZE UP!!!! Comfort- 5 stars. This is a great compromising solution for my boyfriend and I, I like to be warm whenever I sleep, but he's a hot sleeper who likes to be ice cold, (our A.C. is set at 69 degrees... always) so this is perfect for us because it is lightweight, and kinda thin (not in a bad way) so it keeps him cool, and for me that material reminds me of microfiber (I don't know if it actually is) and that plus a sheet keeps me warm! And while we're talking about comfort, hello my boyfriend and I have all of our own space with all of our own portion of the blanket to snuggle in, when previously we slept in the same bed with two different comforters lol. Overall rating- 5 stars. The color impressed me because it was better than I thought it was, I was a tiny tad bit confused and disappointed with the shape and size of the quilt (because I ordered a size up) but nothing that's not bearable for the price hello?? Listen, this isnt the high cost down duvet cover you might be looking for. This is an oversized comforter. It is lighter weight and thinner than typical, but not at the expense of warmth. It keeps us warm inside the house even if we pop open the window and let it cool down to 65. The size of this thing eliminates the fight between spouses for extra. Honestly if you are a single person this would probably be too much blanket. The feel of the material is soft like silk but not slippery like silk. The color is beautiful. I would say the only thing I have noticed is some of the cosmetic stitching (not affecting performance or durability) has come loose after just a few months. Otherwise this is superb. ... show more

UPDATE: I'm retiring the blanket (too late to return) because it's just a bit too heavy and can't cool enough in the summer months. I've had the blanket since April. When I get under the blanket, it feels wonderful. If I start to heat up, I can move my legs to a different spot to get the same cooling effect. But eventually, especially during a hot flash, I run out of places to move and I have to remove the blanket to cool off. I live in Texas & my AC struggles to keep up with the heat during June, July & Aug. I think in cooler parts of the country it could work for a lot of people, so I'm not removing another star. Just be wary if you live in a hot part of the country. It also slides all over the bed, but not enough to fall of the bed or anything. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I'm giving this four stars because the blanket definitely does its job, but I hate the blue color with the gray. The blanket is the best I've found so far in keeping me cool at night. If you are menopausal, you will still have occasional night sweats, but this blanket fights them better than any that I've found. It is incredibly soft as well. Other cooling blankets I've had were soft too, but very easily snagged by my cat walking across the bed. This is the ONLY cooling blanket I've found that doesn't have that problem. So far, and it's only been a couple of days, but no snags. It only took my cat one day to snag my other cooling blanket a couple of times. My dry feet would rub roughly across it which would was very uncomfortable and it would sometimes wake me at night. I'm able to drag my feet back and forth, toss and turn, have a rough toenail, and no issues, very, very soft. And yes, I need a pedicure! I'm afraid to use a sheet with this blanket though. The cooling effect is so great that I don't want a sheet getting in between me and the cooling side (the blue side) of the blanket. So I've literally removed my top sheet altogether and just sleep on my fitted sheet with the blanket on me. That means a lot more washing of my blanket. Judging from a lot of reviewers, it seems they're drying their blankets in warmer heat than recommended. So I plan to dry mine on very low heat or air dry when I have time. I really don't understand the color combinations on these though. I was trying to get the dark gray/light gray, but it wasn't available in a king size. So I braved the god-awful blue with gray. The gray is fine, but holy cannoli that blue is as ugly as sin and doesn't compliment the gray in the least. It would be better suited for a beach condo, not someone's home. But that's just my personal opinion. I'm definitely not a pink person either, so this was the lesser of two evils. I would say that the pictures are pretty accurate, so if you're into that blue, knock yourself out. I'm doing everything I can to hide it on my bed. If they want to send me a replacement and the dark gray/light gray combo in a King size, I will return this blanket and move this review to a five star review. ... show more

Looking for a semi light weight super comfy blanket? This is it! I got the pink and grey one. I usually only like solid colors but it doesn’t even matter because the blanket is so soft. It is also reversible so you can either show the pink or grey side. It also comes with 2 pink and grey soft pillow shams. Use it to layer or just by itself in spring or summer. Great value! Only problem is that I didn’t want to get out of bed because I was so comfortable in it! Will by more in the future. ... show more

I immediately washed this right out of the package so I could fluff it up out of the vacuum packaging and give it that home-y fresh scent since I bought this specifically to be used for a guest stay blanket. It’s so cute that I don’t need to buy a duvet cover and easy enough to machine wash. After my guest left I washed it again and ended up using for myself because it’s so reminiscent of my favorite childhood blanket— squishy like a cloud, very soft, and warm without being hot. I’m kinda mad though that my own bedroom blanket was so much more expensive than this perfect one and isn’t as nice! Please make more colors. Id like a dark red one of this. ... show more
