The box, since I don't have a desk to leave it out on, is being packed away in a padded box between uses, which makes it hard to get at. The wood flexes a bit and I think would not sustain a strong bump. The art equipment seems good. I've used the pencils to color the picture of a deer that they included with the set. I used the crayons to color the fantasy jellyfish. I might add that there might be 60 crayons but only 24 colors. There are multiples of each color. (That'd work for having more than one person coloring at once, or as "refills".) The oil pastels mostly seem to be for drawing large things as they don't do fine lines. I haven't tried the watercolors yet. Mostly I can see this kit as being for someone who is trying out different media to see what they like, or for someone who needs to share their art time with children. (After playing with it, I decided I liked pencils the best.) ... show more
