Have this on my kitchen sink. I have a portable washer that is a pain in the neck to connect and disconnect from the faucet so I bought this splitter. I did have to get an adapter so a garden size hose would screw onto it. The whole thing works perfectly and I am a happy came. I bought this diverted to replace a diverter in which the selector lever broke off, the guts being all plastic. I don't know about the inwards, but this diverted appears to be all metal and well made. It took a bit to get it attached to the nipple still installed from the previous diverted. It seems like the threads are very fine but maybe that is why there is no leakage around the faucet connection. I installed it without Teflon tape, which is not supplied. At first I didn't think it was solidly connected as it moved when I grabbed it to install the sprayer hose, but then I realized that it is on a swivel connection which allows me to use it in the tub on one side of the sink or to spray down the thrown on the other without inking the hose or stressing the connection. And there is no leakage at the swivel joint. Previously when I hung up the sprayer there would be water dripping from it unless I remembered to turn the valve half way to allow the water to drain out of the hose. That is not a problem with this diverted. The warter is 100% diverted where you want it and no need to worry about post use dripping. I spent a day running around to local hardware stores to try to find a diverted that wasn't sized for a garden hose and finally dicided to give this one a try sight unseen. Worked fine enough (little bit of leaking when water was turned up full blast) but did the job until immediately after returns were no longer an option. Now I'm stuck with a defective piece (the rubber gasket around the flow lever popped out and started spreading water everywhere no matter which direction you turned it). Just go to home depot. Product did not fit my needs. I needed to hook up a portable washer to my faucet. Fits faucet, but not washing machine hose. I would think it was perfect for my use if it connected properly. Seems to be quality build otherwise. Disappointing.

I don't have an outside water spigot, so I hooked this to the faucet in my second bathroom and run the hose out the window. It doesn't leak, the diverter handle works fine, and best of all no leaks.
