Elevated comfort for your next journey into the woods with your treestand! The Universal Backpack System is designed to reduce stress, increase transportability, and minimize noise thanks to upgraded padding on the backpack base and shoulder straps and six neoprene-covered buckle attachment points. Load adjuster straps on top can be fine-tuned to your preference to better distribute weight, and when your climber is nested properly, its seat can be used as lumbar support during transport. • Comfortable
Straps work like a backpack. Straps are more comfortable than original straps that came with the climber

  • Comfortable & functional but slightly burdensome to nest 🦌
I paired this with my Summit Viper climber stand. The standard straps that come with any Summit climber leave a lot to be desired. Part of their business is making money with add on parts (footrest, bow holder, etc.). This is no different. A friend that hikes a lot of public land during hunting season recommended XOP straps. Those are very nice but slightly more expensive. My climber is relatively light but one thing I’ve refused to swap out is the oh-so-comfortable Summit seat. I do a lot of all day sits during the rut so I’m not ready to commit to a “net style” seat just yet. As such, my climber can be a bit cumbersome to nest and un-nest in the dark due to this new Summit strap system. I have to unclip 4 of the 6 tether points to get setup or pack up. I’m getting more proficient each time I do it. Overall, I don’t mind the extra trouble since the clips are quiet and I’ve sound-deadened my climber. But it’s worth pointing out if you are considering this product. Good luck in the woods to all my fellow hunters! 🦌 🏹 ... show more

  • Bow hunt
This harness is a game changer from the old straps Summit had. After surgery and PT for two yrs on my shoulder I never thought I would be able to use a treestand again. The harness is comfortable distributes the weight better, and doesn’t dig into shoulders.

  • Makes a big difference in carrying a heavy climber!
I have a Goliath Summit Climber. The carrying harness that comes with it, works ok, a little to bouncy for me. This harness is sturdy and distributes the weight of the climber well. It also has a chest strap, which really keeps the climber steady and free's up your hands without worry of the climber moving around on your back. I am glad I bought one!! ... show more

  • Great addition!
Everyone knows that Summit produces some of the most comfortable stands on the market. With that said they come at a cost and not just money but added weight. Summit has been my go to all day set stands for years. These straps makes a huge difference in weight distribution and comfort when carrying in my Summits without adding more weight. ... show more

  • Better but not great
I have this on my Summit Goliath. The backpack systems is better than the spring straps that come with the stand. However, it's not a miracle solution and I may try one with a hip attachment (but have found those don't work like they should because I am tall/long back and it doesn't carry weight on hips like it does for normal sized people). These stands are not light, and with gear added are heavy. Without hip help, this backpack system focuses all that weight on your upper back, right behind shoulder blades, at the back of your neck...not good after just a half mile or so of hills and can be dangerous for an older or out of shape person. I have nerve pains today from packing it out a mile yesterday. It also slides and shifts back and forth (making a soft swoosh noise with each step). I gave up on packing my climber this season, partially because of the disappointment in this, the weight, and the general process of using the climber. I don't know how people pack and hunt these every trip out...don't believe it in fact, at least not this one. Not worth it all for me, I'll hunt from the ground and take what I can get...safely, with no back pain. ... show more
