  • Great design (NOT) and materials, poor quality build
Color: Black
UPDATE: I watched Gorgeous cooking steaks using her cast iron pan for proper heat transfer. Needless to say the seasoned grape seed oil and steak juices produced a flurry of luscious odors and flying micro grease bursts. She removed the steaks and started making gravy from the oil and drippings. On the third stir the grating slid off it's little ledge shoving its mirror twin grate up and out. Meanwhile the green beans attempted lift off. Summary- HOT (bean juice, drippings and flour attempted a kitchen range take over) Gorgeous grabbed the green bean pot burning her hand and spun the handle on the cast iron frying pan bringing everything back to order before she screamed and turned off the burners. I gave her my version of a verbal Purple Heart while attending her burns. THE PROBLEM: If any grease gets between the grates and the range top it turns into a grating skating rink. My current Red Neck fix is binding the mirror twin gratings together in the middle where they have a foot on the range top. When Gorgeous frys, which means all the time, I will leave a light baking soda trail on the range grate ledge. BTW-still not interested in buying another grating skating rink. I will update on the baking soda plan. Talk about loose screws. Every screw on the back panel was loose or stripped. Fortunately the stripped ones were a small percentage. I found a screw in the box and found where one was missing, hopefully there were no others for the bottom of the box has nearly a one sq ft. opening. One of the feet fell off because the screw was that loose and another foot was held on by one thread of it's screw. The range was very well packed. On delivery I removed the over box and opened the inner box to inspect the range. Both boxes were in perfect condition with no scratches, wrinkles or dents. I felt around the stove and found no flaws or dents. Upon removing the inner box completely I was able to look at the range. No problems. As I was removing the yards of tape one side of the range had multiple layers of tape side by side and over lapping with plastic intermixed. After finally getting that mess off I saw the reason. The left front side of the range about half way down the oven door was caved in nearly and inch. This was a factory caused flaw. My wife's comment was, "Can you hide it, I need a stove?" Translated- It is not right, just make it work. As we are on propane I started installing the LP kit. After reading the instructions I proceeded. I wasted and hour before giving up to pull out my phone magnifying app. OH! You flip the brass lid over, install the plastic cap and hope the manufacturer hadn't screwed up the holding ring so bad it wouldn't stay on. Whew, it stayed. Between horrible graphics for instructions and improperly installed parts I was starting to visualize what Summit actually stood for. Got all parts changed except for the oven/broiler. Fair picture showing and explaining you lift the burner strait up from the gas regulator at the back of the broiler. Right!!! If I lay it on it's back, okay, I can do that. Maybe that is how the dent got in the side, one of the factory dudes was trying to follow their instructions. Oh yes, to do this you have to pull all oven racks (of course), the bottom of the oven (yep), the oven door (Huh???), remove the two screws on the burner flange and remove it (nope), remove the screws holding the burner front (nope, remove the middle one loosen the other two). Wiggle the burner header to one side then slide it horizontally off the regulator. I finished it, put it all back together, did a leak test with heavy suds from Dawn dish soap in a very wet sponge. All good. On with the gas. Out comes the wand lighter and zowy (hate that word) she worked. I plugged in the power cord, turned the knob-clickckckckck (ralphing) zowy, she lit up on her own. I don't like the way the oven lights up and the igniter stays running for way too long as far as I'm concerned. Problems Gorgeous found. The grating slides around too easy, the grating is too high from the flame or the flame is not high enough. I need to re-recheck the side to side level, the flame is higher on the right side on all burners. With it in and running many things are forgivable and forgotten. I started this project 16 hours ago. I knew I would happen into hiccups (hiccoughs) and was prepared with Home Depot 1/4 mile away. Unforgivable list- stripped screws, covered up factory dent, very very bad and wrong instruction pictures. She is already making a list for our next range- the word Summit is not on the list. Hmmm Wonder why. Pictures I didn't include- screw and foot on the ground, missing screw. SUMMARY: This little range will do the job. It will be nice to cook over gas again. It is a good little stove, sadly it was not assembled professionally. It does gripe me that I paid for a dented improperly assembled unit. I will update as needed and am watching the power sucking oven igniter. ... show more

  • It works
Color: Black
Well my husband just brought an old Traila, the kitchen it’s small and only a 20in oven can fit on it. So we decided to buy this one. Which for some reason came on blue when it show something different on the picture, anyways it’s working good attention by the delivery and assistance. They called me to make the appointment for the day and time, and got it soon and early morning. But this was my mistake, which I didn’t know, I got the natural gas and didn’t ask or request to be fixed for TRAILA USE. My husband fix it and we are ready to used. ... show more

  • Beware of the shppers
Color: Black
Overall I like the stove, but I knocked down one star because of the shippers that are used. 1) Make sure you open up the box before you sign anything as that is what it says on the box; 2) the shippers just drove through the lawn to turn around instead of properly backing in or out.

  • Big conveience in a small package...
Color: Black
I enjoy my new gas range tremendously, I haven't cooked since the early '80s, and with a great market across the street, I will save on my food bill. I believe that the regular oven runs a little on the cool side, and I will have it adjusted by a qualified appliance repair person. Overall, it's a great buy for my small studio apartment, and clean-up is fairly easy. Enjoy!! ... show more

  • Great range, great service
Color: Black
Big box store had a 3 month wait and a higher price for this same range. Ordered it on a Sunday afternoon and the very next Tuesday I cooked dinner on our brand new stove. Delivery guys called ahead and even brought the stove up to our apartment. We've had it for 3 weeks now and I love it!
