These skates were a birthday gift for a 6yr old and she loved them. Even out elves had fun with the skates and that says a lot. We just opened these and haven't tried them out yet. They appear well constructed and worth the price, but they stink like cigarette smoke, I'm assuming from some Chinese factory with no rules about not smoking inside. I got these for a 6th birthday present for my daughter. The party was at a skating rink so I gave them to her about an hour before. The wheels did need loosened a bit but the tools come with them. She has used them many times and they’ve held up great. The lights in the wheels look awesome while she’s skating. She says they’re very comfortable and skates well in them.
