I am a life long pleasure roller skater. I own multiple pair of skates at multiple price points. Both of my daughters learned to skate using Chicago skates. They are consistent in quality and affordable for beginners. They are also very easy to upgrade with new wheels, toe stops etc. I purchased a leather pair several years ago to keep as extra pair for my daughters and friends. I have used them many times myself and find they are wonderful for beginners and offer a great experience for casual skating. The skates pictured have been well used and have another decade in them at least! DO YOUR RESEARCH ON SIZING BEFORE BUYING. Skates generally do not come in half sizes and a bit of time spent investigating your skate size definitely pays off. An uneducated buyer will always be unhappy. I wear a 7- 71/2 (38 euro) in women’s shoes. I wear a size 6 in roller skates across brands. Roller skate sizing is not the same as shoe sizing. PLEASE Do not leave a negative review on a great product if you have not done your due diligence in researching your appropriate size. ... show more
