Top Amazon Reviews

  • Decent for the current price, but have a few quirks
Color: Sand
When I got these, they were $129. They are $96.75 today, possibly discounted for the Christmas sales. I usually review budget (meaning under $50) earbuds, but I've branched out a little to explore some of the higher end ones. Pairing - these paired easily, however I got two different Sudio items pop up in my list. I clicked on both of them, but only one selection connected. They are working though. (I wonder what else I connected to.) Instructions - all pictures, no words, so it helps if you've already used other earbuds before to figure out what the pictures mean. For the most part, I knew what they meant. I think the last page is about resetting the buds, which is not a thing all earbuds have. Controls - sensitive enough, but triple tap was supposed to be volume control, and it only paused. Single tap is play/pause (as it SHOULD be!), double tap will change the track, and triple tap is supposed to change the volume, but it play/pauses. Long press will cycle between noise canceling modes. Most buds will have a voice say something like, "ANC on", but there are no voices here. They are sound effects, and the only way I can tell if it's ANC on, off, or transparency mode is to pause whatever I'm listening to and see if I can hear the TV. Battery/case - looks fine & feels fine. The case comes with a strap, which is really kind of nice. The battery life is good compared to the average with a possible 35 hours total, and 7-ish hours on a single charge. Comfort - not bad. These are HUGE buds, but the part that actually goes into your ear isn't too huge. There are 4 sets of silicon tips to play with. Latency - I didn't notice any, and I tend to watch lips move when I watch videos. There wasn't a lag between mouths moving and voices. Sound quality - not as good as my really expensive buds, but decent. I don't think the sound quality is great for hundred dollar buds - I have some under $50 that sound better, but it's decent. I think these might be better for gaming or streaming video than true audiophile sound experiences, but music sounded just fine. TL;DR: If these were $50, I would have given them 5 stars. At a hundred dollars, they are solidly decent. The instructions were a little weird, but understandable if these aren't your first true wireless buds. The controls work except for changing volume, at least for the set I got. These are very good, but not great. ... show more

  • The Best I Have Used So Far
Color: Black
The list price is definitely more than I would typically spend on earbuds, but these are an absolutely solid 4 stars. Pros: - Very good sound: good rumble from the bass, with very clear mids and highs - Good ambient mode: not really something I use, but it sounds ok/good - Very good ANC: these are the best earbuds I have tried so far with respect to minimal wind noise when biking. This doesn't mean wind noise is gone, but it's definitely a lower volume level than any other earbuds I have tried. - Small case: not super small, but small enough to fit in my pocket. I like the nylon loop on it as well, though I will probably never actually hang it from anything. - Good battery life: about 2hrs at 60% volume with ANC used 30% of the earbud battery, so battery life of the earbuds is in the 6-7hr range - Easy to open the case, but I don't expect it to accidentally open (if I drop it for instance). - Easy to remove the earbuds from the case, and easy to insert them back into the case. - They fit me quite well, I get a good seal in my ears and they feel secure. Again, no problems biking. - The eartips themselves are a little different from typical: they are not open in the middle, there is actually some silicone in the middle (with little holes in it, like a strainer) that actually covers the "speaker tip" of the earbuds. I really like this, I think it will do a good job of keeping stuff (earwax primarily) out of the earbuds. - The earbuds themselves are average to slightly larger than average, but not large. This turns out to be a plus because it gives you a nice, large flat area for the touch controls that's easy to find/touch. - The touch controls themselves are quite good, around 90% accurate (so far, after only a few hours of use. I expect better when I have a little more muscle memory of where the touch sensor is) and simple: single tap is play/pause, double tap is skip backward/forward, triple tap is volume down/up, and long press cycle through the sound mode (ANC on, ambient on, ANC and ambient off). The only negatives in my mind aren't really cons, they are just features these lack: - No app, to allow customizing the sound quality or the touch controls - No wireless charging, which I always find odd in $100+ earbuds At this time, these are my favorite wireless earbuds, good for just about any situation. ... show more
