Description

The Streamlight Wedge XT is an ultra-compact, high-performance EDC light designed for clean pocket carry. It's USB-C rechargeable and outfitted with a tactical push-button tail switch for easy, one-handed use. Made of rugged anodized aluminum with a waterproof charge port, the Wedge XT balances durability with performance. It features two lighting modes, high, and low. High mode provides 1,900 candelas, 500 lumens with a beam distance of 87 meters and a run time of 2 hours. Low mode provides 200 candelas, 50 lumens with a beam distance of 28 meters and an extended run time of 11 hours. The USB-C rechargeable lithium battery charges in six hours and lets you know when it’s charging with a red LED status indicator. When fully charged, the status indicator turns green. A charge status indicator features a red LED light when the battery is charging. A green LED light indicates the battery is charged. The battery charge indicator is located above the chart port. The Wedge XT features a Five Tap lockout mode that prevents it from being accidentally turned on in your pocket or in your bag. Featuring durable anodized aluminum construction, IPX7 waterproof to 1m, and 1-meter impact resistance tested, the Wedge XT is the perfect companion for everyday carry or for any adventure.

I carried the Wedge's earlier incarnation for over a year and loved it. The only thing I did NOT love about it was how much real estate it took up in my pocket. I did like the rocker switch concept with that Wedge, and was hesitant to leap into this newer Wedge's pushbutton operating system. Because we've all had lights that require numerous button-pushes to get to the straight-up LIGHT function. That flashing nonsense which, in theory, debilitates an attacker? How many "attackers" do I come into contact on a daily basis? Shockingly few. AND, maybe it's just me, but getting that flashing thing when I just wanted to illuminate something seemed silly. HOWEVER, that's NOT the experience I had with this Wedge. You can HOLD the button for light, or CLICK the button to turn it on. A doubleclick gives you LESS light, for sitches in which you might not need to blind everyone in the vicinity. And that's it! No BS flashy-flash tactical nonsense! Battery life has been superb, and it's relatively small and beautiful. At LEAST three thumbs-up for this product! ... show more

I love this light. Got it Oct 2023 I carry it everyday for work. I'm always digging around in dark corners in warehouse racks, blocking and bracing dark shipping containers. This works perfect as it's a wide angle floodlight, and easily goes wall to wall in a shipping container. If you're looking for a more focused light this isn't it. It has USB C charging, perfect for me everything else I use is USBC. I've yet to run out of battery yet and I usually charge at the end of every week. I was afraid of the tail power button but, I've yet to accidentally turn it on in my pocket. 10/10. ... show more

This light is really close to the pocket light I have been waiting for. It is slightly larger than I would like, but it is easily rechargeable, gets good batter life, and way brighter then the previous micro streamlight that I had. I personally don't like flashlights that have multiple modes and brightness settings because I hate having the press the button 9 times just to turn a flashlight on/off. This flashlight has multiple modes but the button has memory so it will turn on to 100% brightness if you just push the button one time, and then off after you push the button again. This light is expensive, and a little bit bigger than I would prefer, but overall it is a great light! ... show more

I like the size and rear push button activation. I always carry a light with me. The rechargeable feature is a plus but takes a while to recharge. Old school law enforcement will appreciate the location of the switch compared to the large version. This will be my new edc in place of the large model. I’ve carried it at work and found the best way to clip it in your pocket without activating it is to hold it by the side near the switch while clipping it to your pocket. I have yet to activate it while in my pocket. I have other Streamlight flashlights with ove 1000 lumens, but this is easier to carry and gets the job done. ... show more

This is a great addition to the Wedge family. I have and like the original but this one is a better fit for me. Differing from the original, I like the rear power switch, the ability to lock it out (to avoid inadvertent activation when being stored in a pocket or bag), the 10-tap programming consistent with other Streamlight flashlights and the lumen output at 50 and 500 lumens. Like the original, the build quality and finish is excellent. And the flat profile makes for a comfortable carry in a pocket (either front or rear). When it comes to pocket carry, the XT's shorter length is definitely a plus over the original. ... show more
